"We have eaten here a total of three times in March and April. This hotel has a large ground floor exterior terrace (sun shades available) over looking the sea/beach. It was good for the friends we went with who had young children and they could run around safely as the terrace is enclosed and away from the passing traffic on the sea front but still has sea and beach views. For the first two visits the service was pretty dire but we still came back for more the following lunchtime for the second visit because the food was so good! However, they did try to redeem themselves by giving us a free bottle of cava because service was so slow. During our more recent April visit there was new waiting staff and the service was much improved and finally complimented the high standards of food from the kitchen. Food is modern tapas style with dishes costing between 4 7 Euros. Often the starter dishes were good value and larger portion size with the main courses being smaller but still less than 8 Euros, so for 15 Euros per head a reasonable quantity meal with drinks can be enjoyed. Some of the starters we enjoyed were tuna tarter, home made pate, salmon Carpaccio, salt cod revuelto, wild mushroom risotto and grilled goats cheese and aubergine. All were excellent and well presented with home made breads and various side sauces and decorations. For the main courses we preferred the meat dishes to the fish which included very good pork fillet in roquefort sauce, presa iberica, beef fillet wrapped in bacon and good home made (pork) hamburgers. The home made desserts which included an almond tart and various chocolate concoctions sadly looked better than they tasted but did not lessen the overall good eating experience. Prices for wine are very reasonable, for example Beronia Rioja Crianza for 10.50 Euros."
