"We were a party of six who booked in for a late Sunday lunch. I cannot fault the service at all. All the people who served us were very friendly and one lady had some fun cheeky banter. The people who had the roast pork enjoyed it but those of us on the roast beef found the meat...processed/pre carved and heated up by the kitchen maybe, certainly not carved fresh from a lovely big joint there and then. Equally there was something awry with the potatoes they were tasty but they weren't cooked in the traditional way. They weren't crispy possibly deep fried. My daughter enjoyed her nut roast. My gipsy tart was as I remembered it from school days."

"What a fantastic pub. Went for my wifes 60 birthday for Sunday lunch, we messed them about with numbers and changed a few things. They could not have been more helpful and accomodating, the young staff were fantastic, polite, efficient and lovely, nothing was to much trouble for them, and to be fair, dealing with a lot of oldies must have been hard. The food was superb, probably the best Sunday lunch I have had in a pub, I never knew cauliflower cheese could taste so good, and the meat was cooked to perfection. If you are ever down that way, definitely not a pub to be missed."

"I am from Deal but live abroad for work. A highlight of visits home for numerous years has been breakfast with my family at Wellingtons. Today was one of those occasions, however the quality, flavour and attention to detail left with the previous tenant. On a sunny Sunday morning in Deal, it would have been typical to have to queue for a table in Wellingtons but not today and nor shall there ever be a queue again if the quality of their food does not improve. I leave with an overwhelming taste of grease in my mouth and a feeling of disappointment having over paid for the lowest quality, poorly cooked produce. The previous tenant made changes to elevate the original café image as a bit of a greasy spoon ... but as they say what goes up must come down and I would say the elevator is currently in the basement. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3"

"Went into bohemian, waited at bar, no one behind bar and only two others sitting at the bar, after waiting for ten minutes and about to leave when one of the other two 'customers ' went behind bar and asked what we wanted. He was busy looking at his phone he didn 't even notice us waiting. Again when we wanted another drink the 'barman ' was again out of the bar busy talking to his mate, we waited and then left. We could blame the barman who clearly was not interested in doing what he is employed to do but really it is down to a lack of management to leave this individual to manage the bar on his own."

"We was at first sat on a table which was next to a door that opened onto my chair! After asking to move dinners who came in after us had order taken before us because they were regulars! Another larger table came in and were very noisy, so much for a relaxing lunch by the sea! I had to query the bill as we had a set menu but was charged singularly for items. Didn't have any dairy free desert options. For first visit I was left disappointed, won't be returning."
