"Historic restaurant in Livorno, very rustic and spartan environment, I believe that nothing has ever changed since it was opened until today and in any case in the end it is this aspect that denotes its uniqueness. I went for the cacciucco, so praised by those who advised me to go and eat it here. Honestly, it wasn 't bad, but it wasn 't a dish to remember for a lifetime either. I appreciated the fact that there was poor fish such as conger eel, but at the same time the quantity of tomato was excessive for my taste, however overall it was a more than eatable dish. The dose is important, the boy in the room said 1.5 kg, and in fact it was hard for two of us but we did it , together they brought the fried scagliozzi (fried polenta). To clean your mouth, a fried fish without bones and I have to say 10/10, fried very well, crunchy and tasty. Little choice of wines, but what I think is right, in a restaurant like this you drink the house wine which is also good. To finish, lemon sorbet and Livorno-style ponce, I 'll open a small parenthesis on the latter, it was good and special but a little cold, when the punch arrives at the table it must have the temperature of lava! Guys in the room, young and smart. I count 100 euros for two. Can we stay there?? Yes, OK! The quantity of cacciucco was large, we took a slightly different bottle of red (wrong in my opinion) plus all added and connected a 50 each, which is not little, but it fits... in any case they didn 't bring a menu to table and consequently a price list, perhaps this is a moment to review. One thing that struck me? The presence of a few Livornese... too few Parking: Parking doesn 't exist, you have to put your car far away or park like a hit-and-run driver, that is, wherever it happens as long as it doesn 't block traffic"

"Upon arrival, we were presented with branded bottles of water, one sparkling and the other still, which initially seemed a thoughtful touch. However, both variants were undrinkable, tainted with a pervasive chlorine taste that was both startling and unpleasant, leaving an enduringly unsavory aftertaste. The first course, consisting of shrimps with gnocchi, was passable, though it barely met the expectations for such a dish. The absence of essential condiments such as pepper, salt, or olive oil on the table was a notable oversight, detracting from what could have been a more tailored taste experience. The main course, a baked fish served with vegetables, was profoundly disappointing. The fish emitted an off-putting odor, indicative of less-than-fresh fare, accompanied by a texture that oscillated between undercooked and overly soft, failing to offer the firm, flaky consistency expected of properly prepared seafood. The accompanying vegetables were equally underwhelming, lacking any discernible flavor, reminiscent perhaps of having been rinsed in the same chlorinated water that marred our initial impression. Such experiences compel me to question the culinary standards and operational ethos of this establishment. The fundamental expectation of any restaurant is to offer edible, enjoyable food and drink. This restaurant not only falls short of meeting these basic criteria but also leaves patrons with an experience that is, quite frankly, regrettable. Immediate corrective action is essential, though, based on this visit, a reassessment of the establishment’s viability might be more apropos."
