"We love this restaurant and are always keen to book the first week it's open! This evening was like high summer, it's been around 33 degrees all day, so the idea of supper on the beach appealed. We booked a beach table with a paillotte...a straw umberella, as for once the Tramontane was Quiet! We booked early, 7.30 as we were tired. The restaurant wasn't too busy though there were several tables already eating and in the bar area part of the beach, people enjoying pre dinner drinks. We ordered a couple of tapas to share, king prawn in Panko breadcrumbs and deep, fried baby whitebait. Just enough as a starter. Bread and olives along with an ice cold bottle of tap water. We had beers to start...mine alcohol free...that is one of the fab things about France now, nearly every restaurant carries alcohol free beers and many have alcohol free cocktails. My husband had a bottle of white wine, which he said was fine, not memorable. Our main course was a selection of fish and shellfish...with fries or salad. Stunning fish dish for 25 euros. Fabulous setting, busy all season...by the time we left a like after 9.30 the place was packed. Do visit, but do book first. You won't be disappointed."
