"I have been there with 1 Friend of Mine and idk maybe we was just 2 people the Food wasn't that what i expected. Maybe i felt how it looked from OUTSIDE it must be that good from INSIDE but was a lil bit dissapointed. I must mention that the other elements such as the meat and vegetables, were satisfactory. It is my hope that the establishment takes feedback like this into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more enjoyable dining experience in the future. After my experience i will Update my FEEDBACK from OKT/23."

What a fantastic place. Booked for the airshow and run into some unwanted people, and the manager, MD couldn't have been more attentive a understanding. They made the day very special. 5*

Didn't eat. didn't cater for allergy. couldn't get a tea at the upstairs bar had to go downstairs for it luckily a nice member of staff carried it up for me. The group did what they did OK

We had a great time at 1891 with friends. The staff were attentive and there is a good choice on the menu. We had 3 courses which were all very well made with no complaints. We booked for a baby shower and had afternoon tea...wow!..it was amazing! Sandwiches,cakes galore and sausage rolls,absolutely beautiful.The service we recieved was 10/10 also. The gentleman was always popping over to see if we needed tea/coffee refils or anything else. Lovely and clean everywhere and views were georgeous! Couldnt have asked for anything better.highly recommended.

Went for our staff Xmas do. Food was excellent but let down by dessert the cheesecake was in fact a dense tort that was so heavy I couldn't finish it, Hence 4/5. Service was excellent 5/5 Atmosphere nice fairy light curtains and restaurant felt quality, but the disco was on a carpeted area, dancing wasn't easy here as my feet couldn't slide plus the DJ looked disinterested. The beats were too samey, the disco was a major letdown after a very good meal.

"Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only supplying pre prepared takeaway meals, but what a treat. Simple re heat instructions left us with a superb meal for two, of five star quality, for less than thirty pounds. "I've heard rave reviews from family and friend's about the Sugar Plum for quite some time and I'm surprised I've not visited before now. We booked both afternoon tea and the normal menu for a Saturday mother's day treat for my mum, ex wife (I know! and our youngest to avoid the madding Sunday crowd. The experience was excellent from start to end. We arrived a little early because of light traffic so had a browse around and I noticed a lot of happy diners and little white boxes leaving. We were to find out why later. The food was excellent and plenty of it. The afternoon tea for £20 I can say without doubt is excellent value. One of the best I've experienced and the best value I've had. But the star of the afternoon was our waitress (sorry I've forgotten your name . She was superb. Her interaction with Alexander and Agnes was brilliant as were also the other staff. It was an absolute joy and so lovely to experience. Nothing was any trouble. 5 stars plus plus. As for the little white boxes. There is so much choice you can't eat it all but you can take it home to share. We had a wonderful unhurried afternoon with excellent food and excellent service. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. You are now on the list. We'll be back."

"Came here this evening, ordered the loaded nachoes which were amazing, loaded with chicken, cheese and dips. Partner ordered steak medium rare, the steak was so tender I didn't need a steak knife, just melted in your mouth. We had some cocktails too which were really good. Staff were lovely and really attentive nothing was not too much trouble. Would definitely go again, only rated a 4 as I would have liked a window seat, we will mention this on our next booking, as the views onto the town are lovely."

"We decided to book a table here as we were visiting Ruthin and saw that it was dog-friendly. It is in a beautiful, quiet setting with stunning views and has a car park which is free to use for patrons. We took the opportunity to walk the dogs for a couple of miles in the nature reserve opposite, before entering the pub for some food and drink. Both of these were spot on. I tried the Hobgoblin session IPA and Butcombe ale which were both great. My wife had a lime and soda and a glass of Malbec, which was very nice indeed. We shared a starter of Pretzel Breads with Salami and Mustard. My main was the Pork Schnitzel and my wife had the Cheese and Pork Wurst with mash and sauerkraut. All of the food was just perfect. The portions were huge and the quality was spot on. It was all delicious and we were very pleased. I would say it was great value for money. The inside of the pub was large, yet very cosy feeling and the decor was both traditional, welcoming and full of character and stories. The owners are also very welcoming and have stories to tell too! I wish we had been able to stay longer, but we will definitely return for the food, drink, atmosphere and chat. What a find!!! Oh, and Cheesy Madam is something you'll just have to ask the owner about!"

"Take away very poor. No sauce with ribs, special fried rice not very good as it was a small rice with juice in another pot. We ordered a chicken fried rice which was not very good either the sweet and sour chicken ball were poor, not even the cat would eat them. Will not be ordering from this Chinese ever again, the cost of it all aswell was very expensive for the poor quality of the food. Service: Take out"
