"We’re staying at the hotel (Les Mouettes) for a week and it’s delightful, we’re very happy and it’s a out of for us. However with of our chosen Ajaccio restaurants shut this month the hotel recommended their own restaurant so we...thought why not. Unfortunately despite being hotel guests we couldn’t get a table until the next night (albeit tables stayed empty from but apparently the kitchen couldn’t cope with too many people arriving in the small table restaurant at once) but we accepted that and shared a bottle of champagne on our room’s terrace while we waited for To be fair to the hotel reception they tried to get us seated at the empty table at but the Maitre D wasn’t having any of it. Putting all that to one side we settled in (albeit we were given some kind of temporary table which meant the seats were too low and we had to ask them to change them so we could eat at a comfortable height) and chose a nice wine (nothing below Euro which seemed a bit pompous) and studied the menu. We went for the courses at Euro which interestingly counted the amuse bouche and palate cleanser course as of the so in reality it was courses. The food was nice but modest in portion size albeit beautifully presented as you would expect. I had a scampi starter and John Dory main which I enjoyed, with husband having duck as main which again was nice, although we both would have liked the option to order an additional side dish of some vegetables or potatoes as the portions weren’t the biggest. We were underwhelmed by the dessert, mine being a chocolate pudding but after the amazing chocolate fondant at Bistrot Gourmand the previous evening it was a let down and disappointingly average for a restaurant which sets itself up as high end. There was no complimentary liquer and coffee wasn’t offered. Whilst the food was enjoyable, albeit a touch mean in size, the very the coolness of the serving staff and the lack of any warmth or pleasure at our custom spoilt it for us. We wondered if they were just like that with us as English customers but it seemed not, everyone was dealt with similarly. Given we were hotel guests we found the lack of any acknowledgment or “thank you for choosing us” sentiments disappointing and surprising. All other restaurants we dined at in Ajaccio were warmer in service and whilst we’d put A Terrazza as our choice for food (as most restaurants in Ajaccio are a little touristy) it was bottom on service and enjoyment of experience. Plus the price at over Euro was the most expensive and not value for money. Bistrot Gourmand at half that cost gave us a fabulous quality meal, real warmth of service and more to eat and was absolutely number for us. We still love Les Mouettes hotel though and would happily return, but not to A Terrazza I’m afraid."

We had a marvelous menu of different fishes. The service was very friendly but not attentive. One thing is for sure:: Theole atmosphere is incredible! I would recommend going In the evening.

lovely, quiet place. It is very good and kind service. And the food is superb.the wine sommelier picked really good wines to our course meny. Recommend you to reserve a table for dinner if you are in Ajaccio.

We stay there for nights in the hotel and we decide to go have dinner for our last night. Starting from starter to dessert everything was very good !! I take octopus as starter and fish for main and vanilla as dessert ! I...really recommend! Staff are very friendly and very good service!!

Right of the bat, the staff is excellent. Above average in English proficiency, smiling, available-but-not-in-your-face and accomodating. The food is very good, as are the wines. It is not cheap (EUR per plate), but if you are planning on having a romantic evening in...Ajaccio, look no further

I invited my sister in law and we had a great time. We were very happy with the service, they took care of us but not to present so we could have our time to enjoy the seven courses meal. Pretty nice combinations of flavours...and complete discovery for us. Would recommend this place to anyone willing to experience a different cuisine then other restaurants in Ajaccio.

What a treat! This is truly a very high standard cuisine in an enchanting setting. The menu is innovative using top Corsican ingredients, the service the presentation and setting, everything is fabulous. The little appetizers “amuse-bouche” mini fish soup tartlet and tartare and brucciu were...absolutely stunning, this Chef is an artist! We had cabri and monkfish, all cooked to perfection with a delicious and surprising sauce, small ratatouille, polenta ans herbs, all so delicate and the desserts, Vanille Madagascar and Peach what a nice way to end such a beautiful and extraordinary moment! Last but not least, we still enjoyed a mini and fabulous lemon meringue tartelette and a chocolate fud...

I regularly stay with my family at the hotel Les Mouettes, they opened this restaurant this year and we gave it a try. It was perfect. First the setting on the hotel terrasse is uniquely charming. The service is nice and they took great care...of us. The food is sophisticated and we liked the fact that everything is organic and most of it locally sourced. The size of the plates looked short at first for a big eater like me. But once you've eaten all the courses, you're set. Plus the wine, you're good to go. It breaks my heart to write this review, as I am not one to negatively review restaurants on TA, however, we felt the review necessary. Firstly, I’d like to mention that we were extremely excited to try this restaurant, based on the wonderful reviews and...it’s rating by Michelin. However, we were both extremely disappointed with the experience.
