It's a very traditional northern local. The main bar in particular. The food is the typical menu you would expect, I had scampi and chips and the chips were really good.

Fabulous home cooked food and large portions. We'd stopped going out for food as everywhere was ridiculously expensive but now we've found the Boatman's rest and their reasonable prices we are going to be regulars and can go out for meals again.

today I took the church fields forever young group 34 people in total for a meal at the boatmans rest. the food was super and hot, the staff was wonderful, they take care of all. well done to all the workers. I'm gonna rewrite myself for another one of our outings.
