"I discovered cotswold baguettes while I was looking for a grilled lunch for my men birthday gathering. from the beginning of the first contact until the reception of the lunchtime the team was excellent in its service and the delivery of an extraordinary lunch. delicious sandwiches and snacks...made in-house and beautifully presented. "The one-man bar team was slow, the cider was off. When we went to be seated we were told there was no booking, I offered to show them my confirmation email, there was lots of chat between the two waitresses but they insisted there was no booking. Eventually they logged into the opentable app, where my booking appeared. We were told it was not their fault and they didn't know why I'd booked via that app (it's on the link from their website) When we were seated we were informed 2 of the roast meats had sold out which left only beef, at 1400 on a Sunday I was quite surprised by this and have to assume the kitchen is very poorly stocked. To be fair, the food was good but the overall experience was very underwhelming."

"The restaurant is situated in a beautiful Cotswold setting that's easy to locate using a sat nav. There's a wide variety of choices for Sunday lunch, including at least one vegetarian option. The cheese soufflé was delightful, and the Sunday roasts were very good; however, there could have been more vegetables served. The desserts were also delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. The service was friendly and prompt. I would definitely return."

"As ALL the pubs in Stow on The Wold, This is a very popular restaurant and you need to book ahead in person or by phone no online bookings). It had a lovely old world atmosphere and the menu looked great. I had Sausage and buttered mash with onion gravy. The Sausages were first quality and excellent but alas the mash was gray and there was no buttery taste it tasted very smooth but bland and the onion gravy was also lacking as it didn't have much flavour and the onions were still crunchy. We were seated in the middle of the pub and 3 flies kept landing on our faces and arms, they kept trying to land on our food. It spoilt the whole experience as we were trying to stop them landing on our food constantly. While we were eating a couple came in asking to eat but had no booking and were turned away as the manager said that they were fully booked. Not 5 minutes later 5 people came in looking for a table without a booking, but instead of being turned away the manager showed them to a table at the back."
