"This restaurant gives you the chance to eat a meal with a very low carbon footprint, as the ingredients are all sourced locally. Once again in Sicily, we turned up with our Google Translate app ready to understand the menu but the people who served us instantly recognised we were British (it’s a shame it’s so obvious) and started talking to us fluently in English. The food was delicious and came in large quantities we ate the lot and was based on the recommendation of the restaurant. We had Mixed Sicilian antipasti, a ricotta soufflé (we think that’s what it was), amazing homemade sweet ricotta ravioli with a beautiful tomato sauce, a meat dish that from the menu translated to ‘Pork of the Pig’ which was sausage and pork belly followed by cannoli and something called ‘Eat White’ which was a milk mousse with lime. All fantastic. As we left we were given a semi frozen limoncello which was also lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and if we had more time in the area we would certainly eat here again. the room is very spacious and well lit; the service was friendly and fast; the dishes we ate were all very good but similar to those that offer all the farms of the area (there are no dishes that distinguish the local); average account. definitely recommended.

Incredible variety of Italian food; huge portions on a 10+ courses including wine, water and good quality bread. Not all courses were great but most of it of excellent quality... Simple location and good service.. If you really hungry, that’s the place for you..

Warm welcome and positive service at this restaurant. We have previously enjoyed eating at agriturismo restaurants and are familiar with the rustic home produced food concept.In this case we did not enjoy the food quality and at a cost of 50 euros for two people there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in this part of Sicily.

We went on a recommendation on Sunday for lunch, we got there at 12.45 and the restaurant was full already. Lots of families and friends all enjoying their meals. The food is exceptional home cooked classics. We had a selection of starters, which were cooked perfectly. Then the pasta…. Just outstanding, simple nona sauce was just to die for. If you are looking for bang for your buck farmhouse cooking then this is your place!

If you want to experience the Italian culture of AGRIOTURISMO...be there at 08:00pm sharp so you you are lucky to get a table or reserve in advance!! The restaurant is run completely as family business...all friendly and motivated to get you comfortable with their products and food. Enjoy the free flowing house red wine and aqua... Some of the family is speaking English and will explain everything to you!! Thank you for a great local food dinner!! We are coming again!!

If you want a change from the normal Sicilian coastal/tourist food then going to La Masseria is a real treat. The food was simply fantastic, it’s all home cooked, typical rural Sicilian cuisine with just the right choices. My wife’s a vegetarian and loved the huge variety of pasta and cheese dishes.The service was terrific and all the choices were explained in lnglese so we felt right a home. Definitely worth the short drive from the usual suspects and outstanding value for money.

I was for a Sunday lunch with friends. characteristic location in stone, with dry walls and stone typical of the area (only neo the false ceiling). fixed price menu with starters, ragusano cheese, bruschette, chickpeas and cotenna and excellent ricotta, follow trophies sausage and zucchini, ragù quarry, grilled mixed (la grill), fruit and cannolo. quality products and well cooked at the reasonable price of euro per person. for those who want you can have lunch or dinner on paper. recommended.

We visited me Messeria with my family. In a simple and welcoming place,We experienced a simple epiphany.Tye service was super helpful but discrete the good and drinks just divine.this all being locally sourced and made (all including cheeses and beers). I sincerely am heard over heels with their parmigiana (aubergine and parmegiano) and Norma ravioli with aubergine.A family of 4,we shared two sets of exquisite antipasti featuring a rice and meat deep friend croquettes (aranciata)and fried cheese. "Abbiamo prenotato per cena in questo piccolo ristorante non lontano dal corso principale di Ragusa Ibla. Vorremmo conoscere la cucina tipica della Sicilia meridionale e Ragusana in primo luogo come mai assaggiata. Abbiamo mangiato nella terrazza sulla strada di fronte al posto. Personalmente ho apprezzato la posizione come tipicamente immerso nel villaggio e mai troppo esposto al traffico; voi e non visite indesiderate ma mai troppo invadente sono stati dati da alcuni gattini attratti dal profumo ma, sottolineato, per me è stato un valore aggiunto in quanto ha reso l'esperienza più autentica e divertente. I piatti offerti nel menù rispettano i nostri criteri di ricerca: tipicità e identità regionale messi in primo luogo. Abbiamo assaggiato antipasti con formaggio locale, olive e pomodori secchi (e anche altre cose se non erro) che era molto caratteristico e forte. Le carni erano molto buone come le marmellate portate ad accompagnare il formaggio e altre cose. Il primo piatto, una pasta ragusano di pesce, aveva luci e ombre: decisamente grande profumo ma non mi piaceva il tipo di pasta, mi sarei aspettato più una lunga pasta. Inoltre l'uso di sale e pepe nero era davvero eccessivo e, state attenti, amo mangiare con condimenti ben percepiti e abbondanti. Diciamo che tale super abbondanza di sale e sapone in generale è stato trovato anche nell'antipasto tipico con formaggio locale preparato con altri prodotti in una sorta di focaccia (ma in quel caso la porzione era piccola e era stata anticipata dal personale che era tipicamente così forte). È infatti che la pasta tanto attesa e agonizzata non soddisfa le grandi aspettative che avevamo. Non lo riprenderei. La carne è stata elogiata dai commensali sia per la qualità che per la cottura. Ottimo servizio, senza lode e senza infamia. Sicuramente si difende bene, ma per la prossima volta cercherò altrove e farò i necessari ricontri."
