"simple but smiling and effective reception. not much choice but a kitchen than fresh products. excellent tasteful and refined cuisine.all was very good. The couple who holds this restaurant speaks with a lot of love of their mill, we have had a great time, we will go back to another season to discover other dishes and enjoy the terrace. Excellent breeze of the mill that we were able to carry, slipped and not fat at all."

"Discover this noon during a small road trip in the region, the setting is warm, the regulars eat at the bar and joke with the mistress of the place, the kitchen is simple but made home, in the vein of a real bistro! "I have been to Cafe Portbleue on a number of occasions over the past 7 years or so, and to be honest, I've been a bit lukewarm about the place. Possibly, as an English visitor, I've wanted something more authentically French and it's had too much of an English feel about it, not least because the waiting staff tended to be English and the food was ok but not outstanding . However after my recent experience, my view has changed. An excellent meal...my cod loin was cooked to perfection and my cafe gourmand delicious. Kir Royale as an aperitif, reasonably priced wine , good service from French staff. All in all, an excellent dining experience. Highly recommended!"

"We visited in the evening, which was a shame as we missed out on Plat du Jour and the lovely views overlooking the river. However, the ambiance onside was good and the person serving us was very friendly and efficient. My choice of mixed fish...platter was good, although the monkfish was unfortunately overcooked. However, the hake was excellent and the tuna and prawns good. I loved the accompanying creamy mashed potato and sweet potatoes. Not a lover of risotto so that was left. My husband and sister loved their choice of steak which was cooked to perfection, although a bit fatty. Our carafes of white and red wine were very tasty. Good food, good service though prices a bit on the high side."
