"We stumbled upon Mon Fromager on a trip to Frejus. Having wandered through from the market it was the cow print table cloths that first stopped us in our tracks. We looked at the menu and my husband was overjoyed to find that it was a cheese shop serving cheese delicacies. The cheese shop has a small number of tables tightly packed together outside which were all nearly full on the Wednesday lunchtime in early June when we visited. We grabbed the remaining table outside and enjoyed a small bottle of house white to accompany our cheese dishes. Most of the other diners were enjoying red wine or rose with their lunches. The chef prepares the lunches behind the cheese counter in the shop whilst one waiter served all the tables. Not being a huge fan of strong/blue cheeses myself, I opted for the tomato and mozzarella salad. The mozzarella was so fresh and tasty! My husband however, being a big cheese fan, went for the Assiette de Fromage where you could choose 5 cheeses from the Fromagerie. He opted for the waiter's recommended selection, which he carefully explained to us in French (we caught the words "vache" and "chevre" and that was about it!). The lunches were served with lots of delicious French bread. When we came to pay, the bill is served in a wooden cheese box which was a lovely cute touch. Our lunch was delicious and Mon Fromager is such a French idea. A must if you are in Frejus. Just a shame they don't have cheese bars in the UK!"

Great idea to make a restaurant in a cheese shop, all foods we tried were fantastic, service was very nice, wines are perfect and prices are good value for money.

Nothing really special about this place except the service is good considering they only have one waiter and non speaking English friendly. The food is as good as well as any restaurant around the cathedral area. The price of food is almost the same as other places.

But only cheese. The attached meet was also very good we have been excited about the taste. Beside that you can explore the cheese they sell composed with salad, meat and vegetables. Great idea, great food! AND: They have a menu in English which deserves another star for this region :-).

We stumbled over Mon Fromager, à cheese shop, were you are able to have a realy great lunch. The salads are realy well with State of the art buffalo monzarella , but also la planche gargantua with different cheese, confiture, charcuteries iberique was ' superbe'. The bottle of white wine ( local, unchi and rolle) was a good companion. We finished with lovely desserts , realy in line with the mean course. The guy who was serving us, was spot on.The place to go to for a lovely lunch.

As many of us know it's easy to spend a lot of money on a bad meal in the south of France but we found this gem by chance walking in the historic town of Frejus. Every course was absolutely amazing. We started off with a wonderful selection of 5 local cheeses paired with jams. Ordered the plate de jour which changes daily but were lucky enough to have the risotto with scallops and fish and ended off the meal with a decadent chocolate mousse. Everything was fresh and the price of food and wine was far less than you would expect to pay for this quality of food. The service was also exceptional.

As we wondered the street of Frejus in a hot summer day, a little past lunch time, we saw this small but charming place and decided to give it a try. We were not very hungry so le menu du jour, a very good combination of cheeses, salad and delicious french bread, was perfect for us. We had some of the very good local rose wine they recommended. Every plate is prepared by the owner just behind the cheese counter in the shop and only one waitress serves all the tables, about 8 in total because it is a small and cozy place. A very friendly ambience, quiet and peaceful...we highly recommend it. Good quality at a reasonable price.

We have often passed by and wanted to eat there, but the place was always busy, and people waiting for tables, which are covered with black/brown and white cow-like tablecloths. This time there was room, and we discovered it was a cheese shop and restaurant, with every dish in some way using cheese - so if you don't like cheese or have an allergy - just walk past. We had smoked salmon with mozzarella, scallops and ravioli with cheese sauce and an 'assiette sélection' of 5 cheeses. A lovely meal with a bottle of the local 'Teres' rosé wine, and coffees as well. Not too badly priced at 86 euros. The owner came and chatted, and we had a great time. One small tip, check your change from the waite...

Based on the reviews on here we saved visiting Mon Fromager until our last night and we were not disappointed! The menu is mainly salads - I had the goats cheese and charcuterie one which was full of great flavours and very filling! The rest of my party had the seabass special - which was also delicious! We then had a cheese board to end - the desserts being delivered to other tables looked yummy too!The service was great -despite there only being one waiter he was very attentive, helpful and friendly. And it was very good value - 120 euros for 5 including 2 bottles of very nice wine.As others have said I would recommend booking a table as there are not many - we booked and all tables were re...
