"This charming bistro offers a diverse menu and allows guests to bring their own alcohol, which is a nice touch. It is family owned and operated, and I would definitely recommend it. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner there. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food was delicious, earning a 5-star rating, while the service and atmosphere both scored a 4. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Ribs and Meatballs."

It was lunch time and I had jacket potato. They were very accommodating when I asked for a different version of the filling on the menu. "For dessert, we chose the cheese board, and I have to say, I regret not taking a photo of it. At £15, it was a letdown for the cost. It included six artisan breads or crackers, some grapes, chutney, and four very small slices of various artisan cheeses. My wife, who is pregnant, opted for a non-alcoholic cocktail that wasn’t on the drink menu but was remembered by the staff, and that cost £8.50. Despite its price, it was quite nice. A note to management: I strongly disagree with the discretionary 10% service charge added to an already pricey meal. I feel reluctant to remove it from the bill because it's the staff who have to mention that it’s included, but it's not their decision for it to be there in the first place. This practice seems to be becoming more common, and while I'm perfectly fine with tipping for exceptional food and service, when neither was notably good, why should I be charged an automatic service fee? It just feels wrong. Once again, I don’t mind paying higher prices and rewarding excellent service and food with a tip, but we didn’t experience either here, regardless of how the menu may appear. Unfortunately, I won’t be recommending or returning anytime soon. On a positive note, the surroundings were lovely and the ambiance was great."

"it was a couple of times to eat and a few times just for a drink. honestly, eating absolutely delicious at both occupants can not fail. the employees are very helpful about knowing about courts and giving them time to explain and suggesting decisions that we were really impressed, especially after rushed and incomprehensible lists that have been decorated to us in the cartford a few weeks before. drink a tad expensive, but for the quality of service environment atmosphere and friendly staff they do not. determine you visit when they get the chance"

"we went last Saturday with some friends and had a nice evening. they had a renovation and now have a very nice bar area that is very demanding. the staff was very helpful and the service was great. the menu is not too big, as they seem to go over quantity for quality. the pizzas and pasta dishes that we were very tasty and the desserts are delicious! recommend this restaurant and bar to everyone."

"I would give this restaurant 5 stars for their amazing food, but unfortunately we have had issues two out of the times that we've ordered from here. The first time, we ordered a halloumi wrap and they delivered a chicken one instead, which was a big mistake considering my girlfriend is vegetarian. The second time, they forgot one of the meal boxes that was supposed to be my dinner. Despite trying to call them for 40 minutes afterwards to rectify the mistake and not getting any answer, I'm afraid I can't give them 5 stars."

"Now serving food! New management has brought this pub back to life at last! I had salt and pepper chicken sizzler (set smoke alarm off lol which was delicious! Only thing I wasn't keen on was oven chips(which keeps the prices down but I would pay more for home cooked chips or skin in fries. Usual pub type menu most dishes a bargain at £7.95. I like real ales and they had 3 on tap(Wainwright's, Doombar and Black sheep. I had black sheep and it was a decent pint and just over £3 a pint. I would definitely now recommend this place, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere has definitely improved, also becoming more popular again. Will definitely be going again!"
