"Now, Pier 64 describes itself as a Steakhouse, and it certainly does what it says on the tin. Other than the range of steaks, it has only about 4 other options – chicken, fish, lamb or vegetarian. It doesn’t look as if these are going to change regularly, so if you weren’t a big steak fan, you’d soon get a bit bored of the menu I can imagine. What it does have is a nice selection of salads, all of which are available in a starter or main course portion. Had a lovely meal at this restuarant with my partner and his sister and it was a lovely setting. The food was good too. It's definately a place to visit if you are in Penarth.

arriving on pier 64 is a pleasant affair even on a cold and dark Saturday night at 9 o'clock. there are generous parking spaces and the location of the building on stilts in the water is clearly a winner. Without a doubt, it would also be a bit better on a bright and sunny day. a worker rushed forward to open the door that saved us the annoying. by erm, y’know, open a door for us.

very satisfied with the service, the quality of the food, the price and the environment of this restaurant. very friendly and professional manager, met a new waitress (not very sure at some asking that we have made, but super helpful to check with their team to clarify our question. the quality of food is very high. very beautifully decorated and taste perfect. definitiw will come back when we visit cardiff! I was impressed with the service, food quality, prices, and atmosphere of this restaurant. The manager was friendly and professional, and although some of the new waitstaff were unsure of certain questions, they were very helpful in getting the answers from their team. The food was of high quality and delicious, and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. I will definitely be returning if I am in Cardiff again.

if they are set up as "steakhouse and wine bar", and if their menu is divided into steaks and 'the rest', they must be confident what they offer. especially if their some of their prices in hawksmoor area, by common accord one of the best steak restaurants in the country. (Note: I know what giles coren says about people who order steak in restaurants. I could make it less good. but not much. "I raved about this place in my last review but since then it appears to have changed. Firstly, I cant remember the chairs being so uncomfortable that they had 'scatter ' cushions for you to use if you needed to. Having had back surgery, they made it even worse for me, so did without them in the most uncomfortable chair ever. Now, to the main part of the review. The lovely cakes that I had raved about had disappeared to be replaced by a sorry looking load of bog standard cake. The poor girl who served us was nervous as it was her first day, we ordered pecan pie which came with cream, we asked if its pouring or thick, she had to ask, it was pouring so we asked if we could have ice cream instead, she had to ask. Anyway, we finally ordered our cake and coffee. When she brought the coffee, she spilled half of mine in the saucer and then asked if I wanted a different saucer....duh! she took the offending saucer and the spoon brought a saucer back, no extra serviette to wipe the bottom of the cup and NO SPOON! We were then served the cake and ice cream, which to be fair, was nice, until, halfway through I saw a hair on my friends plate, (she was not wearing her glasses). We knew instantly that it was not either of ours, I have shoulder length hair and her hair was in a bun! We called the poor young lady over and pointed it out, she asked if my friend wanted to change it...duh! Of course she did, she brought another and thankfully my friend shared it with me! The coffee was (flat white) was nice but after that catalogue of events I wont be going back. They do offer a range of snacks/lunches and people did seem to be enjoying them."
