"Myself and my husband went to Pizza Express for a mid week meal after getting a gift card for christmas. we booked a table to ensure we had one but when we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. we assume this was because there was some snow so people staying in plus was mid week. We got a friendly welcome from the waitress on arrival and could chose where we sat. the menu all looked very nice and i opted for bruschetta to start and my husband had the garlic bread. each were both about £5/6 which for the size of them we thought was a bit much, but saying that they were freshly made and very tasty the pizzas we had were lovely too. mine was a La Reine and my husband had the calzone for dessert i had the hot drink plus mini dessert throughout the evening the waitress was attentive and friendly. the only downside of the evening was that the restaurant was sooo cold! the poor waitress just had a tshirt and jeans on and she admitted she was very cold. we appreciate that energy is very expensive and it was a cold night, but it made the meal rather uncomfortable. we mentioned it to the manager at the end and she advised they're not allowed to turn the heat up. Shame we'd go back again but if it's winter, we'll wear thick jumpers! that aside, great service and a tasty meal."

I actually cant get over how bad this was for food overall it was over priced for below average food shame as we love other pizza express restaurants it’s our number one place to go for a meal out

Oh my goodness. The gluten free pizza was terrible - undercooked, like cardboard, and cold. It cost 16 pounds and was simply awful, with cold toppings on a base that tasted like rubbish. I will never eat here again.

hi we went to your restuarant , and i am sorry yo say, the place needed a good clean, stains on the floor in the restaurant, seats had food on them also the table, the disable tpilet was filfy, this is a baby changing room, no cutlery on our table, had to ask for them when our mains arrived.how can you charge just under £8 for two soft drinks, a bottle of coke £3.55, that is daylight robbery, we will not be useing pizza express again

We reserved a table at this restaurant but it seemed they were not prepared for our arrival. We had to wait for a table to be cleared, and the only staff member we saw was distracted by their phone and did not acknowledge us. The food took an hour to arrive after we ordered, indicating a lack of sufficient staff. The service we received seemed unwilling and unwelcoming. We do not plan to return to this restaurant, which is a shame because it is conveniently located nearby. If the management improved, we might consider giving it another try.

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after 2pm and found only one waitress and one kitchen staff member working. It took a while for us to be seated as a table of 6 was splitting the bill individually. Eventually, we were seated at table 21, followed shortly after by another couple who were served drinks before us. Despite the waitress' efforts, there were some issues with the menu - specifically, the Bruschetta was unavailable due to a lack of pesto. It was frustrating to be told that the Bruschetta couldn't be ordered without pesto. I also wasn't asked about toppings for my pizza.
