"a first visit on Saturday at high-time. although my wife was before, and very recommended the place. eating was excellent, one of the best chicken bobabs I have ever tasted, the staff was helpful and attentive, although they were cleaned away from the feet. few problems but stood on our table waiting with sosse of the cooks who throw the food around while it was prepared. at the table I was probably at the seat, next to a service door at the back of the restaurant. I was quite hard on the back by someone with heavy wood servier plates. then shower with sparkling, as she laughs with birthday cake with fireworks. then, finally, there was a collision between two workers to fly bowls of dirty dressing, which shot among our men and sprayed us with a lot of sauces and liquids. will I come back? I bet I'd risk eating under life gunfire to try the kebabs and brot again."

"Room 305 is located in central Whitley bay, so easy to get to by foot but parking is a little limited. The food is of a Turkish Greek style, with lots of meat, vegetarian and vegan options available. We’ve been a couple of times now on a Saturday afternoon and it can be quite busy so if you want to be certain of getting a table it would be best to book as it is very popular. They do serve food quite late, and it does seem to be popular late on as well. Every time we’ve been the service is excellent, with the food arriving very quickly, always freshly cooked and tasting absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend the Harrissa Hummus with Chick Swarma and the Beetroot Hummus. The menu has a good range of options for main meals, light bites and flatbreads, with a breakfast menu served until 11."

"I had heard great things about this place from family and friends but had somehow never got round to visiting. So after an early finish from work we decided to go for lunch. There is a very chilled atmosphere and an eclectic mix of music playing in the background. The lunchtime menu includes a few main dishes with various paninis. I opted for the lamb and harissa burger while my wife went for the cauliflower and chickpea samosa. They don't sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own. The bill came to £30 that included soft drinks and coffee. The staff are super friendly and very informative when it comes to explaining the various dishes. We will return to try the dinner menu."

"We hadn't visited this restaurant in a couple of years and had good memories of it being a special place (we had brought guests here as it was at the top of our list of local restaurants), but our recent experience this week was disappointing. The staff member who greeted us at the door seemed disinterested in being at work, showing no signs of friendliness or engaging in any conversation throughout the evening, including when we paid the bill. First impressions are important. Unfortunately, the food was also lacking. Although the menu descriptions were intriguing with a variety of options, none of our appetizers or main dishes stood out - where were the promised flavors? Bruschetta without garlic or basil? Overall, the food was just "okay" but not worth the price. It seemed like cheap ingredients were used and corners were cut to save money. The restaurant still has a nice ambiance and I'm sure it's lively on weekends, but this historic place deserves better. We will be exploring other dining options in the future. It's a shame, as this restaurant has the potential to be truly special."

"Average bar service, unfortunately, my rare beef salad was so overpowered by the pickled cabbage, I couldn't taste the salsa verde, even the chilli, I wouldn't have to write this review, but when I explained this to the lady serving us, she said it's a personal preference that's that. I would think on a customer service level she would at least say thanks for your feedback and I will let the chef know. would have been polite and I was listened to, for the critique of my dining experience. I don't think the staff care to much about what comes out on service and are more interested in chatting to the boys at the bar, my table was from around 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday 4th Feb 23, I don't think I will be returning. The runner buss boy was very good and he listened more than the girl staff chatting at the bar."
