Beautiful setting with charming historic buildings. The food was delicious and the service from Imagen was exceptional - knowledgeable, friendly, and always with a smile. Thank you.

Visited for an early evening meal. 5 of us were seated at a pretty spacious table. Service was a little unsure while still friendly, but having seen that this is a fairly new restaurant this can be forgiven. Our meals were all great the Sunday lunch was surprisingly filling! Lots of lovely vegetables and great gravy. The poached salmon dish was deceptively large. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous dining experience. Very well organised to cope with Covid checks, after that staff are chatty and attentive throughout to ensure you enjoy your time with them. The food is fantastic and presented beautifully, the atmosphere had a real vibe about it. The cocktail list was extensive and they looked amazing. We will definitely return, it was great to see a business doing so well.

Stayed in the hotel this week and ate in the restaurant Tuesday night, food was incredible! We had the prawns and goats cheese to start which was amazing and we both had steak for mains the steaks were absolutely huge for the cost and so soft and tender! Wine was nice, cocktails were amazing and our waitress Imogen was so nice and attentive. We will definitely eat here again next time we go back!

We had a wonderful evening at the Pickled Sprout on New Year's Eve with a group of 14 people. We enjoyed our private dining room, which was a delightful surprise. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the perfectly cooked steaks. The staff members were exceptional, being accommodating, friendly, cheerful, and efficient. They truly made our evening memorable and special. Thank you to all the staff at the Pickled Sprout.

on a day trip for harrogate we wandered around and looked for somewhere to eat when we found scran and what a sound it was! eating was amazing, so delicious and a good menu to choose. the price was even better. two Scran plates and one side for £12 (from mon sat 12 midday to 6.30 clock staff were friendly and the place had a great mood. would recommend a visit. dish is worth order is pigs in cover the gravy was amazing. will return definitiw.

Nice staff and food is good. We rocked up without a reservation to see if they could accommodate us (3 adults), and got a table no problem. Gents loos downstairs, ladies upstairs but there is a loo for disabled customers downstairs too. As you enter the building there are two steps down to the main area. Someone with a pram came in after us and managed that without issue but obviously it may be an issue for wheelchairs (not sure if they have a ramp available). It's not cheap but fairly average pricing for the area. We'd go again.

The service at this restaurant was incredibly slow. It took 20 minutes before anyone bothered to ask us if we wanted a drink, and even after that, we had to ask twice to place a food order. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. The nut roast was awful, lacking any flavor. The sticky toffee pudding, which we had to wait 30 minutes for and had to request the dessert menu multiple times, was so hard that it couldn't be cut with a fork and tasted as if it had been overcooked in the microwave. We are unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Visited the Sprout on a misty, atmospheric day in December. We were drawn inside by the varied menu outside. The decor is modern and tight. We had the best fish and chips we had ever had. The fish was huge and the batter thin and crispy.. The scallops and prawn cocktail we had to start were excellent. Why not 5 stars? Well, they delivered a fish ciabatta in error but readily replaced this with the fish and chips. There was confusion over whether or not I had paid the bill (I had). Lastly, no traditional ales. All said though, a thoroughly enjoyable vist.
