Have used this place for years.... never had a bad experience ...take away or in restaurant, always been very good. Recommended

This restaurant is just average. The curry is okay but lacks depth of flavor and is very standard. If you're really craving curry while in the area, it will suffice. Speisekarte ansehen

I ordered a chicken Madras which was extremely bland with a watery sauce. This restaurant lacks consistency and is by far the worst curry I have ever had. They have lost a loyal customer.

I recently dined at this restaurant again and once more enjoyed a delicious meal. Everything was perfect, from the friendly service to the quick service of hot, tasty dishes. The atmosphere was lovely as well. I couldn't find a single fault with my experience.

As usual, the quality versus price of this curry house was very good. Service was fast and efficient. The hot food, keema naan, brimming to the edge with stuffing plain naan freshly cooked. Meat madras spot on, bombay potatoes very good portion. The chicken korma was a little to sweet for me but wife loved it all in all will return Speisekarte ansehen

We regularly visit Sunam in Hassocks my wife and I, and our kids when they're in town. It's well run, the staff are fantastic and attentive, and the food is delicious. I think some old reviews on this site paint a very different picture maybe it wasn't great a few years back, but for the past two/three years it has been consistently great. Always super friendly and we've never waited long for food or drinks.

I sadly found out today of the passing of the owner of Sunam Restaurant in Hassocks. He was a good man with a big heart, well traveled and knowledgeable. One would have thought the village would have put a picture of him up and some flowers for his loyal service to the locals for many years, the guy hardly had a day off. I’ve always really enjoyed the Sunam and I’m happy to see that, after not coming for a little while, the food and service are still top notch and the prices are still so reasonable. When we arrived the waiters came to open the door for us, sat us down and were incredibly attentive to us the whole evening. The service, like the decor, is decidedly old fashioned but certainly very appreciated. We ordered a couple of large Cobra’s while we perused the menu and then ordered a couple of curries and some sides, which arrived quite quickly. The vegetable dopiaza and garlic naan were lovely.
