"We booked a table for a Sunday evening meal, the lady at the bar was very helpful and welcoming. The pub was fairly busy but the restaurant was quiet. The menu was a bit restricted for my wife who doesn't eat red meat, I should have checked before booking. No problem we found that the portions were very good and the food was very tasty. I had a steak, cooked perfectly and the chips were lovely. A minor point we prefer our chips to be to the side of the fish or meat not under it. They also keep a good pint, so will be happy to eat here again soon."

Very disappointed when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant closes at 14.00, although we book a table on Open Table for 18.30.

Family gathering from many locations, we were made very welcome and enjoyed the occasion. Generous portions of classic Sunday pub food, excellent value.

The service and food at this restaurant were exceptional, even though we didn't have a reservation. It was unclear why they were accepting bookings when other establishments were not prepared to offer service.

After I had booked for Sunday dinner, I expected a reserved table, but that doesn't seem to happen here. Instead, we were fed to the bar where we had a drink. Some men who drank at the bar were very loud until the point where my friend couldn't hear me. However, the staff was friendly and helpful.
