"The prices at this restaurant were extremely high and the portions of cake were small. The coffee was bitter and the worst I have ever had. There were flies in the window area, as none of the front bay windows seemed to open to allow for ventilation. There were dried coffee stains on the wall near where I was sitting, indicating a lack of cleanliness. Additionally, I witnessed what appeared to be the manager arguing aggressively with an elderly man who wanted to pay in cash. The man seemed confused and unable to understand why he couldn't pay with cash, but the manager insisted on card payment despite the man not having a card. Our overall experience was terrible and we will not be returning. I would recommend avoiding this place as there are many other coffee shops in Old Amersham."

great coffeeshop. I loved the fresh lemon and minze tee that made it for me from the menu.

I had an amazing coffee at this restaurant. The barista, Alex, was clearly skilled and made a delicious coffee with a friendly smile.

I really liked the place. I had a sourdough toast and banana pancakes, and I really liked both. The staff was friendly, and there was good vibe, in a stylish location. I’ll go back

A tiny latte for the massive price £3.65. Was not impressed and came out smelling of bacon because the kitchen is open plan and no extraction. Coffee was ok but Luke warm and I did mention it was a tiny cup.

at the grocer around 15 during a long cycle in a group of 6 stops. we had large coffee and tea servers from helpful friendly staff followed by very generous sourdough bacon and tomato cutney sandwiches served with fresh delicious salat garnish. they were excellent and very fast produced as we are the drinks. highly recommended.

Ludicrously overpriced, not matched by the range or quality of food. Charging nearly £4 for a pastry and a similar price for a tiny latte. Calling it artisan doesn’t justify it either. The menu says sandwiches are available from 1130 but apparently they mean 1200. My gluten free wife was ill in the afternoon after leaving this cafe. Best to avoid!

One of several small intimate eateries in Amersham. As dinner was already scheduled for the evening, only a light lunch was required so the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels ticked the boxes perfectly. The menu is realistic for the size of the establishment where Chloe and her colleagues provide excellent service. Pricing is sensible throughout Two notes of caution cards only, no cash and watch your head on the low beams

It was late afternoon so not that busy yet the toasted sandwiches were so overcooked as to be inedible. Neither were the correct ingredients in them. The kitchen assistant who made them was talking and laughing to himself and I wondered if he was ok? We felt the cost did not match the poor quality of the food. The cake I had was flavourless and dry. The only decent thing was the coffee. Where are the wonderful staff theybused to have? People will not pay a premium for this appallingly poor quality.

This establishment can only be described as average at best. While the cakes looked great, the staff seemed unhappy and the loud music was more irritating than relaxing. When we asked for a third chair, the staff member was dismissive and unhelpful. The bill for three cakes and two cups of tea came to £25, with an added service charge that was not optional. The bathrooms were also disgusting, with water all over the floor. Overall, the experience was not worth it due to the high cost, lack of cleanliness, and poor attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, I would not return to this place.

"December 2021: Glad to be able to visit The Old Orchard at Christmas. They always have a real fire going and mulled wine. Unfortunately, they hadn't started the mulled cider yet but, had a hot toddy; both were wonderful. Well done guy's for offering these. The food , for starters we shared prawn salad, very refreshing. My partner had the chicken and leek pie which was yummy. I had the salmon, which was disappointing, dry and bland, the veggie accomplishment were tasty. January 2020: I really like this place and come here regularly. Looking forward to coming in summer. Having been here many times over the last 4 months, I have to say the menu is limited and boring. Very surprised they haven't thought of changing it or varying it a bit. Also wish they had a few more cosy tables and chairs. Apart from the 1st time we came always get put on a small table for 2 despite asking for a square 4 table and plenty being available. The service could be better, waiters don't write the order down and then forget to bring you drinks. Despite the above I still like this place but, it's these things that is the difference between nice and amazing. December 2019: Came here on Christmas Eve and had a lovely evening. September 2019:Went to The Old Orchard for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. I hadn't booked a table so we had to wait an hour and a half. Which was fine as it was a nice evening we sat outside then had to move in due to it getting a bit chilly. Would have been nice if they had patio heaters, I would have liked to sit outside. Blankets would also be a nice touch. The views are amazing. Food was very good, facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and provided a great service. I will definitely be coming back."
