"We came to chirk with our caravan and stayed at the local caravan club site and decided to find somewhere for a Saturday evening dinner so we drove down to the town which is very small and found the Hand Hotel and thought we would give it a try we’ll I must say as there were three of us we all had a different starter and a different Main and I have to say the restaurant was quite empty so we thought that’s strange for a Saturday night at 7.30pm anyway we ordered our starters they were served in good time and they were delicious I had the soup that was butternut squash and carrot it was delicious my wife had fish cake and she was very pleased with that and our friend had patty which she also enjoyed for our main course I had the Cod chips; with mushy peas very very nice chips were Amazing my wife had chicken New Yorker which she did enjoy her only issue was that it came with the sauce over it and as nice as it was there was far too much would had preferred the sauce to be on the side to add for yourself our friend had the Salmon which she really enjoyed but again there was too much Sauce would have been better again on the side so you could add it yourself we all really enjoyed our meal the portions were very good so much so we had no room for desert much to my disappointment as the thought of blackberry Apple crumble with Custard would have been most enjoyable as the whole experience at the Hand Hotel was most enjoyable and the Staff were very polite and pleasant would definitely recommend this place we will definitely be using it again on future trips to Chirk I should also mention that we thought that the price was very good we had three starters three mains and three Drinks for only £63 which considering how very nice it was I felt was very good thank you to the staff for their polite and professional manner well done to you all ."
