Really lovely service, food and welcome. Lovely little beer garden to catch the last of the summer sun and really hearty pub food. Would recommend booking.

Popped in for an evening meal. Brilliant and very welcoming staff. Food was absolutely fantastic, lovely and freshly cooked. Service was great. Next time we are holidaying in Yorkshire we will be coming back to eat here. Highly recommended

I found this pub by chance, but so glad we did. it was a busy tee-time when we arrived, but the renter was fantastic and very accommodating, although we had to wait one, we got drinks and one table to sit. when the food came, it was so delicious and tasty, including the puddings. the pub itself has a beautiful atmosphere a small jewel so close to pickering

what a pretty little pub! we had delicious home boiled eating from wendy. the torte was a joy and apple and plum crumb was just delicious. hubbie had the sausage and maic and a pudding from the special board that brought him back to school days. what a great sound. beautiful renter and we sat next to another couple, also on holiday that were really nice! very recommend this pub for eating, ambiente and service. Booked based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. From Andy's initial welcome, to the beautiful roast beef (my Mrs) and chicken (mine), followed by apple and rhubarb crumble for me and Hot Cross Bun bread and butter pudding, for Helen, our whole experience was a delight (thanks, Wendy). We will most definitely be back soon and I will be sure to reserve some of Wendy's legendary steak and ale pie for our next visit.

eating was really good. 4 of us ordered 3 different dishes and 3 of us ordered the same dessert. In portions were on the small side, we had to ask for additional maic with the nut roast and the dessert portions could also have been larger and with more fruit in the crumb. the personal was generally excellent and very friendly. Being dog-friendly is also crucial to us because we were in the opposite and the dogs would not have left behind too. really enjoyed the meal and would come back absolutely. book them further to be sure that a table is also in the middle of the week they are good to be busy.

5* simply because I can’t leave 10! Dropped in here in desperation today Easter Saturday) after travelling around to a couple of places and not being able to get a table. Thought we were off to the Chinese in Pickering when we stopped her and asked if dogs were allowed in? Yes we were told and then did they have a table for 2? Despite being full and tables reserved they found us one, we had to wait a bit to have our order taken but they did get us drinks straight away while we waited for them to deal with the party of 8 that came in just before us. When they did take out order I went for the sirloin steak and my wife the lasagna. This was finished with apple crumble custard and hot choc fudg... Speisekarte ansehen
