Really lovely pub however on this occasion the service was slow, and waiting for our dogs dinner as Previously advised we were then told they no longer did doggy dinners. So off to the tollymarsh who do.

Slow service , staff seemed un trained , were offered a dog dinner for our dog then later told this was not now available, not a good experience, lots of others waiting for service even though is was not busy . I’ll go elsewhere in future.

Had high hopes for a nice Sunday lunch after 2 previous visits but felt disappointed today. Meat was tough, potatoes appeared to be reheated and vegetables mushy. Chose this pub to meet up midway for a family celebration. The reserved table was ideal, and we really felt looked after by the staff. We were a challenging group, but the waitress was so patient. Delicious meals, especially the roasts. Chef was able to cater for a vegetarian cygnet too. Huge thanks.

On the whole the mains were good. But the ‘crumble’ for dessert was horrible. I don’t leave food and don’t usually leave reviews. Some slimy tinned pears heated in a bowl with some muesli thrown on top is not an edible offering. And I didn’t get a chance to explain why I had only had two bites to the waitress, as no one came to clear the table.

Dined here on a Thursday evening with 3 other people and I must say the food was very nice indeed. I was a little disappointed that fillet steak was not on the menu but the chicken breast I had was absolutely delicious. Service we received was good too. Toilets nice and clean as was the restaurant. Based on our experience we would definitely recommend and return. Speisekarte ansehen

Totally recommend this venue. The setup was lovely. Staff all extremely professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was all cooked to perfection. We were a group of 16 including children, who were happy drawing whilst the food was prepared. We had an area all to ourselves which made the afternoon atmosphere extra special. Thank you to the team at The Swan. We will be back and well done.

We had a very different food experience this time to previous. We visited The Swan just over a month ago and the food was really good, however this time the quality was not so good not sure if the chef was off or something. Also disappointing that a couple of the items on menu were not available (mid week) one of which was the pie! (unusual for a pub not to have pie available). The lady waiting on tables was however very good.

Recommended, so we were looking forward to this. It was busy, service was slow but this didn't bother us. However fish and chips were poor, batter cremated, chips underdone. Cauliflower curry poor, rice seemed to be microwaved and stuck together, sauce, chickpeas etc overpowering and Cauliflower batter overdone. Just not nice. Nobody asked during meal how food was. Asked if we wanted dessert, said no, explained not good, waitress said sorry. As ked for the bill, she came back, slapped bill on table, said pay at the bar. Only drinks on bill (2 glasses of wine £14.50) no food, she'd been a bit hasty in getting us out. Shame were honest, we paid the full bill at the bar. Sadly last visit, would... Speisekarte ansehen
