"the place was beautiful and was greeted by a friendly host who sat quickly and served us. the carousel was fresh and the part of the meat was good. the boil lee was very friendly while serving and gave great cuts. the veg and the sides were beautiful and plentiful and the yorkshire puddings were great. the place is quite cheap and the children's meals are about half the price of an adult, but almost so much meat. it has free parking spaces close to bus routes for easy access. the bar was also beautiful and the drinks are quite expensive, including floorless fizzy drinks. would definitely recommend for a nice roasted dinner."

Friendly service. Pleasant ambiance. Food was hot, tasty plentiful. Sadly no Yorkshire pudding wraps (hence 4 stars not 5!

great place. quiet and out of the way, maybe a mile away from the beach if they wanted to make a day of it. I think they only do really fry and veggie roast I can't remember seeing a menu recently for other options.

Breakfast was actually really impressed with quality of ingredients and of course it is all you can eat so quantity is not a problem. Very well priced and outstanding quality for what you are paying. Nice friendly venue as well. Excellent.

carvery quality is a little dependent on day/time, but generally good meat, good variety of seasonal beside meals. desserts could do more with updating, they only change a handful of options 3/4 times a year. I think. refillable softdrinks are decent. the photo is of children 'build their own sunflower' fixed favorite of my daughter 's.

I have dined at many Toby Carverys, but this was the worst experience. The food was tasteless, the table was dirty, and there were leftover food and napkins from previous diners underneath the table. The cutlery was so blunt that I couldn't even cut my meat. The service was terrible and unprofessional. I will not be returning, as it was a complete waste of money. I left feeling extremely angry. What a gem of a place! I found Lauriston Farm after having a walk up from the beach and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The views from the establishment are great and the interior is very up to date and modern compared to other Toby's I've been to in the past Food and drink prices are very reasonable and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area Thanks for a lovely experience with a lovely meal

We were cold, tired and getting hungry when we spotted this lovely Toby carvery. We were greeted warmly by Valentina and shown to comfy seats overlooking the Firth of Forth. We chose the carvery and were given a large Yorkshire and plenty of meat. The veg were hot and there was a good selection to choose from. Gravy was steaming and sauces plentiful. The cranberry wasn't quite as good as I've had elsewhere, a little too light pink and rather too sweet. Staff, Ashley particularly, continued to be attentive and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the cozy atmosphere.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
