"We've been twice in 2 days!! First visit, yesterday was for tea and cake. The carrot cake was 10/10 and the tea is plentiful 4, maybe 5 cups from the teapot! Today we had lunch. Beef chilli for me and Homemade scotch egg for my husband. The meals both came with salad, coleslaw, potato salad and bread. Huge portions... its rare to level a restaurant feeling like you can't eat another morsel I love my food and this was absolutely delicious, and excellent value. A perfect stop off after a day exploring."

We absolutely adore our trips to the Ugly House. The cafe is run by two delightful young ladies, and the scones are truly top-notch. You mustn't pass up the opportunity to visit!

I had delicious scones and coffee at this restaurant and was pleased to see that it has not followed the same path as Tu Hwnt I'm Bont. I hope they continue to maintain their beautiful food and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning soon. Speisekarte ansehen

Best afternoon tea that we’ve had on our trip! Tea itself is delicious and served with plenty of extra hot water. Cakes are outstanding especially the carrot cake, which is perfectly balanced by the sour cream topping. Staff are incredibly friendly. We had a lovely walk in the extensive gardens afterwards.

Excellent little place! What a gem with fantastic wonderful staff who were so friendly. Ploughman’s lunch was a large portion with fresh crusty bread, ham, Welsh Cheddar, salad and chutney. Sausage sandwich was also tasty served with a large side salad, Home made cakes both lemon and chocolate cakes were delicious. Highly recommended for lunch.

We visited while we were on holiday last month and what a wonderful experience. The two ladies who have taken over were so friendly and welcoming, sorry I can’t remember their names but I do know one of them was from Huddersfield. The food is home cooked on the premises and so tasty. We laughed so much with them and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Highly recommend in every respect. Will certainly return. My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. Despite some negative reviews, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious and homemade. We were impressed by the range of vegan dishes available in such a small establishment, as well as the selection of freshly made cakes. The cozy fire added to the ambience. We plan to return in November to try more of the menu options.

Lovely friendly staff service, enormous cake portions that was moist and delicious. I had lemon cake and my wife had chocolate orange and neither wanted to share hehe . This is somewhere you pass but once you stop you aim for again. As mentioned before tea comes in a pot with extra hot water and is plenty for the cake portions, I enjoyed my coffee black no sugar so I know it is good coffee. Do stop and enjoy the nice warm fire and friendly service!

"As you drive into the car park at Signatures, you may wonder if you’ve made the right choice for dinner. Yes, it’s a restaurant that’s at a “holiday home resort” – and that’s a posh caravan park to you and me. But, fear not, we’d been here before and know that it punches above its weight, making it one of the better restaurants along the coast. The menu is well rooted in “Modern British” food which means it occasionally makes a leap away from the comfort of Northern Europe. As in a starter of king prawns, dressed in a quite pokey satay sauce, served with a crispy noodle salad. It worked. As did a lobster bisque which had the richness of the one you get in jars at Waitrose but enhanced with small bits of lobster. It’s accompanied with a small slice of toast, topped with mayo, crab and prawns. Sirloin steak was accurately cooked as requested but could have done with a bit of seasoning. It came with classic accompaniments – nicely cooked “fat chips”, grilled cherry tomatoes and a field mushroom.. “Trio of lamb” was a good representation of the modern classic of “meat three ways”. A couple of slices of perfectly pink fillet. Some long cooked shoulder. And breast, also long cooked, then pressed, breaded and fried to crisp. That came with “Palouise” potatoes – Google doesn’t find that term but it seemed be a boiled potato topped with buttery gloop (no, I wasn’t a fan). But it’s more than made up for by Savoy cabbage, roasted carrot and a lovely rich sauce. We often pass on dessert but not this time. Two classics on the menu, Firstly sticky toffee pudding – it’s rare to see a menu these days which doesn’t have it on. And, most times, it’s not worth the calories. But, here, it’s a delicious light sponge, pretty much perfect butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream, Homemade “Arctic Roll” and jelly will whisk a generation of Britons back to their childhood. Ice cream surrounded by sponge was fine. The fruit jelly was excellent – really fruity rather than just generic “sweet”. Good coffee to finish."
