We had read a review on trip advisor and so went. It was a great evening if you want an authentic local food experience you won't find better. The staff were friendly and it was a most relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Tolles Restaurant! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Der Salat und das Fondue waren unglaublich! Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Sie haben draußen einen tollen Platz hinten, der perfekt für ein Sommeressen ist. Sehr zu empfehlen.

My wife was keen to get an authentic Raclette and I remembered the Walliser Weinstube in Brig. It did not disappoint, they had Raclette, very reasonably priced, and together with one of their Meat Platter went down very well. I would heartily recommend them!

Nice cosy cornery restaurant with the typical wooden swiss atmosphere.Owner was serving and she was very attentive and calm as all tables were filled.Had salads nice variation of greens, schnitzel for me and fondue for my wife. Both traditionally made and good taste. Large portions for sure.Enjoyed just sitting and talking.Easy place at swiss normal prices.

The Valaisan food and wine were very good. The service was excellent and they offered us 5 dl wine, because the waitress who just started working there, accidentally ordered the wrong dish - which I ate anyway and was very good.Only critique: the atmosphere is not very cosy (it gets quiet loud in the restaurant with bigger groups since there are no sound absorbers whatsoever - no curtains, carpets, cushions...).

Wir haben Zeit in Brig, Schweiz verbracht und sind an unserem letzten Abend in der Schweiz in dieses Restaurant zum Abendessen gegangen. Die beste Entscheidung, die wir hier auf unserem Urlaub gemacht haben. Warme Atmosphäre und freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Das Essen wurde sorgfältig zubereitet und schnell an unseren Tisch gebracht. Die Portionen sind groß und sättigend. Wenn Sie in Brig sind, ist das das Restaurant, in das Sie gehen sollten.

The food served at this restaurant could not be more Valaisan - the cheese smell when you enter is so strong that you almost get knocked out of your shoes :) This means that the restaurant serves typical fondue, raclette, "kaeseschnitte" and - apparently a local specialty - cholera (pie with potato/cheese/bacon/apple/onion filing). The food is really good but extremely heavy - better order less or to share if you still want to stand up after eating. Service was friendly and prices are ok for Switzerland so overall a good place if you want to enjoy typical food of the region and gain a few pounds :)

We were in Brig and wanted to try some local food specialties. I tried the cheese fondue, Kathy tried the a cheese and potato tart / galette, and Meg had a rosti. Weall had the green salad to start. All the dishes were really tasty. The waitstaff was great, helping us to understand the menu and suggesting choices. The prices were reasonable (though having just come from 4 days in Geneve might have skewed our judgement). It was carnival weekend in Brigg, and having the musicians stopping in for visits to the bar may have also helped improve the atmosphere. All in all, we'd recommend this restaurant highly!
