"From the wine list that shows the cream of Italian bubbles and have read very good reviews, we decided to try this place. Location is just a few minutes away, but not in downtown or in a pedestrian zone like many other restaurant... in the city so we decided to eat inside instead of one of the outdoor tables as it was hot (and inside was nice and fresh) and there is nothing to see in the small square, but cars parked around the alfresco room. Inside, also the place gives you the right feeling stacked with all walls with very good selection (multiple types) of bottles of wine, and two or three large wine refrigerator show the best Italian sparkling wines that you can usually find only in specialized wine shops. Let's go. Beautiful table, beautiful atmosphere and not very large but beautiful selection of local dishes (this changes every day). Ordered a very good Franciacorta Nihil Dosaggio Zero Tenuta Ambrosini, delivered at the right temperature and in beautiful suitable glasses. In view of the retail price and the restaurant price I have worked out, it was very honest, only 35% up (because this is a high quality franciacorta... to give you perspective cheap prosecco around the world usually get 4 to 7 times the retail price. Whatever. We ordered a very local selection of cured meat as an appetizer: Filetto Baciato, lardo and bue affumicato (the latter is a kind of vintage garnish cheese of the bresaola) and 6 oysters. While the cured meat starter was delicious, well presented and 'convenient', for the waitress, the oysters were not perfectly opened, a little poor in the presentation (no ice cream and in a regular plate) and only served with lemon option, which my least preferred way I was to ask for Tabasco (I didn't dare obot vinegar, as in my experience is not one thing in Italy). But there was no reason to order oysters in this city, it was our fault. As the main course we had inadvertently a wonderful 'peen with tuna and Pesto di Pantelleria', which is not very well known, also for Italians: tuna, mint, basil, parsley, fennel roasts, garlic, capers, tomatoes, black pepper, olive oil and almonds: only google 'Pesto Mandel Pantesco' and add tuna (minated). The main course was great. Unfortunately, the dessert we wanted to order was finished, so we would have decided to take a walk and instead have a few ice spoons in a cone of Cremeria Visconti. The tables seemed to be occupied by local customers as almost everyone, but we knew what we think was the owner who came and spoke with a table about the wines in a very friendly and pleasant way in the room. Overall, I strongly propose to go there, sit inside to be surrounded by the walls of wine bottles and quiet some good meals with an excellent Italian wine."
