"We were a party of four and were the first to arrive for dinner service. We requested our apertif to be served on the terrace so we could enjoy the beautiful view. It took more then twenty minutes to receive our drinks, hard to understand as we were the only ones there at the time. When we moved to the dinning room almost all the tables were filled. We did not expect quick service, but we did expect service! We finally received our bottle of wine which was only poured for us once. We had to get up from our table, retrieve our bottle and serve ourselves. The maitre d'hotel and his assistant avoided eye contact, we felt purposely ignored. This is not the treatment expected at a restaurant of this stature. The food that we did receive was very good, though after 2-1/2 hours waiting for our dinner we left. Our experience could have been so much better if we were communicated with and not ignored. We then had to wait ten minutes just to find out how much to pay but they could not figure it out. We left our address and phone number, as we are locals, so they could contact us with the amount. We were in a hurry as we needed to get to another restaurant!! Needless to say, we will not return."
