"We visited The Gainsborough tonight (13.06.2022) while in Sudbury from the West Midlands. The food was amazing, I had the Thai Green Curry which was full of flavor and very filling. The spice level was just right, not too overwhelming. My mom ordered the chicken supreme with new potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were delicious and slightly minted, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pub uses local fresh produce, as the asparagus was large and full of flavor. The staff were polite and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of. We were seated at a table and a friendly lady cleaned it, brought menus, and took our drink orders promptly. Our drinks arrived quickly and the wait for our food was reasonable. The waiter checked on us to ensure our meals were satisfactory, which they were. We were offered dessert menus, but we were too full to try the Eton Mess. There was a lively atmosphere with a pub quiz happening in the background. The quiz master was entertaining, and my mom and I had fun participating. Overall, we had a fantastic evening at The Gainsborough with delicious food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. We highly recommend it!"
