"Very disappointed about our visit to Mistral. Eating at a one star Michelin restaurant in Italy, you 'd expect the bar to be very high, and for the restaurant to use seasonal and only the best ingredients of the region. The only pasta dish, was a ravioli filled with pheasant (if I remember correctly) that lacked flavor, the main dish was deer done three ways. The deer fillet, was nice. However, the raw deer tartar was simply raw meat, with no dressing and an excuse at a criolla sauce (think chopped peppers on top)... the most disappointing was the deer chunks, that honestly the restaurant should be ashamed of serving. In regards to value, the only ingredient of high quality that they served was a foie gras, which was good but nothing different or that you can 't have for 25 euros anywhere else in the world. Out of the 7 courses, 2 where dessert, one of which was a bite sized pre dessert . Not a lot of value here... I was expecting a dish to have white truffle, since we are in Italy approaching truffle season, but if you wanted that you had to pay extra mind you the pre set menu is already at 225 euros per menu... In general, most dishes were good, but nothing extraordinary. With the exception of the deer, which was truly appalling. I 'm not entirely sure how they can get away with serving that... If you want to spend 500 600 euros to eat ok , in a romantic and antique setting with live piano playing in the background, it is a good place. If you want GOOD food, don 't waste your time or money..."
