"I always head for the bois prin when I want steak frites, Not only is it superbly cooked (rare /saignant) but the value for money in a mountain restaurant is excellent. The location is superb and when the sun is shining it is realy nice...to sit outside. Service is top quality and the owner is always friendly. they do a daily special too which has never disappointed with a pichet of wine at a reasonable price. My favorites from the menu are steak-frites, le encas savoyard for a lighter snack really nicely presented and the tarte ecureuil (nuts not squirrel You don't get much better from my experience in the high mountain restaurants at a price that is really fair and affordable. Avoid going in around as it can be very busy and cramped after is more relaxed and then you can stay the afternoon after a hard morning of skiing... one run down after a nice lunch !"

"Loos on the same floor as the restaurant ! Good veggie soup, ditto spaghetti Bol, and chicken curry and chips more of a chicken stew that curry according to our ex Ghurka rifles pal . Isle de flotant a dream ..good tea citron,...espresso and Americano. Best value for money in port du soleil found so far. Quick service in the chow line and separate bar for quick drinks service too."
