"Absolute gem of a place. Attentive but not intrusive service from a lovely team of staff. Delicious selection of meals available and all cooked beautifully. We had the 2 course roast dinner special for £14 each. The meat was tender, tasty and plentiful, with a fabulous selection of veg also cooked to perfection. The puddings were more than generous! A genuinely brilliant place to eat out. Thankful that it’s only a stones throw from us but even if it wasn’t, it would be worth a journey!"

"The service at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The waiter was rude and did not greet us with a smile throughout the rushed meal. We were not informed that our table was only available for a limited time when we made the reservation. We were pressured to place our order multiple times within just five minutes of being seated. The chicken dish I ordered with lemon and herb flavor was covered in a strange gelatinous sauce that was clearly not cooked properly. The gravy had no flavor at all. The waiter rushed us through our meal and seemed annoyed when we asked for dessert and a cup of tea. He informed us, for the first time, that the table was needed in fifteen minutes. After paying over £40, we were not even thanked or offered a smile as we left. We have dined here a few times before, but will not be returning due to the rude and rushed service, low quality food, and high prices. There are much better dining options available that we will be trying instead."

"I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant for a while now through Just Eat. It is hands down the best Indian food I have ever had from a takeaway, and I have tried almost all of the takeout options in my local area of Rugeley/Lichfield. However, I am disappointed to learn that they no longer deliver to Rugeley. Despite being only 7 miles away from their restaurant, they have decided to restrict their delivery radius. I would have been willing to pay extra for the distance, as I know many people in Rugeley who also enjoyed ordering from them frequently. Unfortunately, I have to give them a 3-star rating due to this limitation. By not delivering to Rugeley, they are potentially losing a significant amount of business. I urge them to reconsider and expand their delivery radius to include Rugeley. I would be more than happy to pay a little extra for this service."

"We decided last minute to try this restaurant because our friends keep recommending just how good it is. We were not disappointed at all. First impressions walking in is the atmosphere is modern and uncomplicated decor all laid out very well. The staff were very friendly but retained a good professional level. We ordered wine by the glass which was fair priced and then dived into the menu. Choosing a mixed platter to start everything was perfectly seasoned and tender and very “more-ish”. Moving then to a South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken and a Chicken Tikka Peshwar they were both really delicious and presented very well. The garlic nan was light and fluffy and not too big which suits me. I’d love to try something “home style” by the chef as I am sure he is excellent and sampling real Bangladesh flavours would be even better than BIR recipes. We will be back…. Oh and I forgot to mention the price, excellent value…..see you in the next couple weeks."

"Visited today with family for a Father’s Day meal. The food was delicious not to mention the 241 cocktails. The venue was decorated for Father’s Day with balloons, candles and flowers on the tables and each dad received a box of chocolates and a dad badge which made it extra special. Anna and the team are super friendly, hard working and go the extra mile so a BIG thank you from me! Can’t wait for the next visit!"

"I stopped by Subway for lunch before a trip and decided to dine in. My go-to is usually the toasted Veggie Delite, and this time was no different. The salad choices were excellent, all fresh and healthy with generous portions. The restaurant was very clean with spotless floors and tidy tables, and the bin was conveniently located by the door. There were two larger tables and one smaller table for two people, as well as a highchair available for families with young children. The staff was polite and friendly. I would definitely revisit this location."

"At the age of I have visited of restaurants both personally and for business and I can without doubt say that the So called steak specialist at Longford house Cannock Staffordshire is the worst place I have ever visited and I've visited some really poor places. The really saddening thing was that my visit was my wedding anniversary and it was totally spoilt my wife's and my night. The night stared poor, table booked for and it wasn't ready so finally got seated at We then waited mins to order. The table opposite hadn't been cleared from the previous party so hence we looked at dirty plates for over minutes until they could be bothered to clear it away. I ordered a fillet steak (their speciality) which arrived at and can only be described as a lump of gristle, I can eat most things but this was horrendous so asked for it to be returned. We didn't complain at this point but when at hour minutes after we should have seated) the second fillet arrived to an even worse standard I asked to speak to the manager who agreed it wasn't acceptable. A steak chef should be ashamed and be sacked on the spot. At this point we left at wedding anniversary ruined the wife upset and hungry and too late to go anywhere else. Thank you Longford house for totally ruining my night. Will never return to a beef eater again and advise anyone thinking of doing so not to plan a special evening there, as these nights can't be revisited."

"Warm welcome, staff very friendly. Place was clean tidy. Took an age to place order and get served at the bar, they really need two people serving. Very limited vegetarian options. Food was ok nothing special chips were awful and very small portions for the price. Three of us had desserts and they were tiny. Our bill for 4 people was £80 so quite expensive for a lunchtime meal of meagre proportions. Wouldn't return I'm afraid as much better quality food and decent portions at other pubs in Cannock who don't charge the earth."

"Came with my son for a quick meal. Ordered through the app and drinks came out within a minute and food followed within 10 minutes. The waitress asked if everything was OK and it all was, the only problem we had was the burger meal my son ordered came with mayonnaise on it, which wasn't stated on the menu. Not a big issue as he was just scraping it off, when the waitress came back, apologised, said that it should say it on the menu and replaced his meal. Was a really nice gesture for an issue that wasn't really an issue. Will definitely be back as the food is always nice and well priced."

"The food was excellent, but the kitchen closes at 9 PM, and we weren't informed about this. As a result, when we went to order desserts, we found that we couldn't. Our table was reserved for 8 PM, and we had to wait a little for it to be ready. The dessert menu also looked delightful, which made this oversight a bit disappointing. Overall, however, I would recommend this restaurant because of the quality of the food we enjoyed. Meal type: Dinner."

"This restaurant is my absolute favorite place to eat. My girlfriend and I go at least twice a week, and we always order the same thing now. The food is incredible, and the customer service is top-notch! I highly recommend it for dinner, with prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person. The atmosphere is great as well, with a rating of 5 stars across the board. I recommend trying the chips, popadom, sauce, and cheese naan - they are all delicious!"

"I used to enjoy this place and visited regularly, but I won't be returning after being hit with a $100 parking charge following my meal. I wasn't informed that I needed to enter my vehicle's registration number into their system, and now I'm stuck paying for parking – it's ridiculous. The restaurant staff claim they can't help because it's a third-party ticketing company. It feels like a scam; this establishment isn't worth $100 given their poor communication skills. To be honest, the food was only average during my last visit, and it certainly doesn't justify the total cost of $150 for a one-hour meal. I won't be coming back again."

I love Leon's idea of fast food based on healthier ingredients; however i made a Big regret ordering the Korean chicken wrap, lattice fries and karma coke during a coach pit stop. Eaten half the wrap, food was disgusting chicken meat looked dark. Had bad stomach cramps and bloating tummy all the way back home to Kent. Had very little sleep last night. "I went to Shoal Hill for the first time with my mom. It was a great opportunity for us to catch up and spend time together. We had booked a table for lunch and were greeted warmly upon arrival. We ordered the fry with two types of meat and the Sunday fry with meat. However, I was disappointed when the meat arrived as it was very thin, which made me think it was pre-packaged and microwaved. I couldn't even tell what type of meat it was due to its appearance. The mashed potatoes were served in a large portion, which was a bit too much for me. They tasted fresh, but the roasted potatoes were not crispy at all and seemed to have been microwaved. In the end, we left feeling unsatisfied and decided we wouldn't be returning for Boxing Day. I prefer when my meat slices are freshly cut from a joint."

"We recently had our wedding at the Barns. We had guests from all corners of the UK. From the Orkney islands to Plymouth to Wales and Norfolk. We brought them all together to celebrate our wedding. The accommodation was fantastic. The food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. They aren't your usual stuck-up staff. They are all down to earth people and they made me and all my guests feel welcome. I defiantly recommend anyone stay, eat or even get married here."
