"If it's rustic, authentic cuisine and atmosphere you are looking for then make the effort to dine at this place. We were a family of 4 on our last night, and what a great night it was. Our waiter, Nicholo, had a great knowledge of where the food was sourced, which wine would suit and was so pleasant. We were the only foreigners in the restaurant which was holding a party for a 25th wedding anniversary the whole restaurant was full of the sound of happiness, a real tonic. We had made the reservation through Salvino at La Medusa Hotel (great hotel). Both respective owners know one another well so we were given probably the best table in the house overlooking the Bay of Naples, lights shimmering like diamonds and firework displays as if it were Guy Fawkes night. The pasta to start was beautifully presented, light but with delicate flavours. The portions were a good size also. I chose the grilled steak (500g) for my main meal, cooked to my liking and full of flavour, when accompanied with a traditional aubergine side dish (eggplant for US readers) was plenty. The seafood pasta dishes were fantastic. My sister in law and I had the tirimisu for dessert which was light as a feather. We read of the drive to the restaurant and how precarious it can be so let's just say; it's not for the faint hearted, inexperienced or nervous driver! The hill is steep, the road is single track in parts, but worth the effort. The car is valet parked by Giovani who we tipped. Overall, a great dining experience and one we would have been sorry to have missed. We will definitely return."

"Sometimes the case sometimes the need pushes towards impalpable choices. But then they take body in the recipes, they go into the atoms with the dishes. From Franchino brings us the case and our sensitivity in the search for delicacy. This will be the leitmotiv of the evening. Delicate dishes, balanced, flavors mixed with expertise without prevarications. The appetizer, a parmigiana of zucchini is simply to scream. The first dish of linguine seasoned with anchovies sauce capers tomatoes and black olives makes us sobbalzare for the perfumes that exhibits, so distinct and so prosthetic in a single direction. Chef's power. The use of quality raw material is a prodrome of the kitchen. From catering I ask for his interpretation to the top. Franchino guarantees both. The second dishes are certainly less challenging, but the grille of fish fully centers our desire to taste of sea. Let's close with lemon delight.... delight indeed. The account is slightly below the wait. Five stars to the chef to whom I wish the best professional goals. Five stars also to the landlord, Franco, for his kind welcome. Citation apart deserves Cristina. She manages the room, to entertain guests with discretion, delicately dedicated to anticipating every possible need. It's professional. competent, and she is the sixth star that I attributed to Franchino."
