"Donde Diony is on Paseo Solatorre, a short walk from the town center, or on your way to the town center if you 're staying at Hotel Solatorre, or another of the lodgings up the hill from the center of town the beach. The outside of the restaurant is non-descript and unassuming, and it is rather small; thus it seems not to be catering to tourists, which is why it 's a great place for the mid-day meal. Unlike the tourist restaurant in town that we tried, there were no hidden charges--a complete meal was just that. We got a first course--salad or a similar dish, a main course, desert, bread, water and wine for the advertised price. The selections were quite sufficient. Also, unlike the restaurant in the town center, the food was very fresh, well prepared, and the servings were generous. The food was typical Spanish, which I love. It was not nouveau or trendy in any way. I noticed both times that we appeared to be the only tourists there. Everyone else seemed to be locals, and regulars, on their dinner break--a good sign, I think. The two times we ate the mid-day meal there, I had delicious fresh fish and seafood. If you go around 1:00 or 2:00 during the summer, you may have to wait a little while for a table. We waited about 10 or 15 minutes. My friend, from Asturias, Spain, is in her 70 's, an excellent cook, and very picky about food, and even she really liked the food and couldn 't find any fault with it. Donde Diony is clean and comfortable, but not fancy. If what you want is fresh, well prepared Spanish food with generous servings at a fair price, I highly recommend it over the tourist traps in the town center."
