"We arrived for our table at 7.45pm on a quiet Tuesday, We were on holiday so thought we would go when it was not too busy. We were shown to our table, before we even had our coats off we were asked if we wanted the wine menu, we said yes in a moment. The waiter brought it over and asked if we were ready to order, i said no as we had not looked at the menu yet, he asked 3 times before we had even looked at the wine menu, we had only been there around 5 minutes. Eventually we ordered, the starters which were good as were the mains. We were quickly asked if we wanted a dessert, i asked if we could wait as we have just finished and asked if the restaurant was still open, the reply was, no it is closed we are waiting on dessert orders ! at 9pm !! we were also told it was the latest place open in the Ferry !, We ordered dessert , we were asked if we would like limoncello or sambuka, we were not told this was part of the menu, i asked if it was and was told yes, but had we not have known might have said no , We felt we were hurried out, no offers of coffees or drinks, We ordered £75 worth of food and drink and were out in an hour and a half ! I was looking forward to an evening out not a quick meal. I feel disappointed, but have to say the food was very good, we must have visited on an off night and feel we spent a lot for an hour and a half night out . Not sure if we would return"

"We visited today with our young children, having been before we were expecting the same brilliant service and tasty food. Unfortunately this was not the case today! The young girl serving us maybe needs some re training or guidance. We had only been sitting...with menus for about minutes when we were asked if we knew what we wanted; my year old didn't even have his coat off yet. She came back after minutes or so, I asked if I could add red onion marmalade onto a toastie and was looked at as if I had a second head, she said she didn't know but would ask. On returning she stated she couldn't add thus on to my toasties but they would put it on the side..... I'm not sure why this was such a difficult request? It was quite clear we were not finished our meal and she came accross and began to clear plates; these were not empty. She tried to take a soup mug which was still half full. We began gathering our things to leave and she swooped in to clear the rest of the table, my year old wasn't finished his sandwich (granted it looked like chaos.....but he's two) he had a total meltdown and ran after her crying that he wasn't finished, she completely ignored him and threw what was left on his plate straight in the bin in front of him leaving him inconsolable. I went to speak tk someone regarding this to be told there was no more gluten free bread with a shrug of the shoulders. She would remove it from the bill though.....obviously this wasn't the solution I was looking for my year old doesn't understand that we don't need to pay for it, he is still hungry and extremely upset. I stated this to her, she miraculously then managed to find another piece of gluten free bread and made him half a sandwich. This wasn't removed from the bill and there wasn't any sort of apology for being made to feel like we were being rushed out the door. I would understand if they were busy but there was only other seated tables. Extremely disappointed "
