"Had my first experience at Woodlands cafe this morning after spending a night in Woodland Spa and oh my goodness, I knew I was in for a treat when there was a queue before opening time and I was not disappointed! What a local treasure this cafe is, I’m envious of the locals that have this on their doorstep. Everything from the quaint decor, to the amazing customer service and not to mention the fantastic options the menu has to offer. I went for the Woodland Breakfast and I could not fault it any way whatsoever. The coffee served was exquisite so much so I couldn’t help take away a bag of coffee beans that is available to buy in the cafe. The cafe offers an array of fresh cakes and plenty other options to enjoy after your breakfast or lunch or simply just pop in for a wee afternoon tea coffee and sweet treat! With indoor or outdoor seating to choose from you’ll never be disappointed and it’s an absolute must to visit if you’re in the area or just passing through and also being dog friendly is a huge bonus! Five stars from me Kate Leanne and all the staff made us feel super welcome and creat such a friendly and happy atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble at Woodlands Cafe!"

"This restaurant is by far the best in terms of service that I have ever experienced. The Steak pie, peas, chips, and gravy were not only delicious but also great value for money. I was having some back issues and needed a taxi, but unfortunately, there was a long wait. Lynn, the owner, offered to drive me home herself. This act of kindness really touched me, especially since I had never been to this restaurant before. A huge thank you to the Matador Cafe."

"our first visit to the piazza 20/05/17 and we were very impressed, although we had not booked the very helpful staff that found us a table. the menu was full of options and the meals we were selected were beautifully presented and tasted wonderfully by far the best meal I had for a long time while, I have no hesitation to recommend this beautiful restaurant, excellent value for money."

"This restaurant is top-notch, scoring a perfect 10 out of 10. The service is excellent, as is the delicious food. Locally, we prefer this spot over any other. The only downside was a group of loud individuals using profanity, but they left 20 minutes after we arrived. This didn't reflect on the restaurant at all. Visit Helal Tandoori in Louth and indulge. I dare you to find a better option."

"Drove 30 minutes from Skegness to get fish and chips from Waldo's after reading the excellent reviews, me and the wife wasn't disappointed. Some of the best Cod and Chips we've ever had while at a seaside town, the piece of fish was massive and the chips were cooked to perfection and all at a reasonable price too £23 including curry sauce and a bottle of coke and a Jumbo Sausage). Also the curry sauce was like what my wife calls Northern Style Curry Sauce from when she lived in Halifax as a youngster and she loved it. I would also like to mention the Jumbo Sausage that was kindly cooled down in a tray of water for my dog to enjoy by one of the happiest and couldn't do enough for their customer's assistants that work there. I would definitely return if I go back to Skegness and recommend the drive to this Chippy if you want exceptional Fish and Chips for your dinner. They also have tables outside if you want to eat straight away. Thank you to all the staff there you are a credit to the owners."

"It was mid afternoon when I visited The Marina and lucky for me, I was the only customer there. Very COVID compliant. Fish Chips were really good. Lovely friendly staff and gave me advice where my husband and I could go to eat our take away and then get a lovely drink afterwards. It was like having Tourist Information and CHippy combined. Great work guys."

"Living in the Lincolnshire Wolds finding somewhere nice to eat is a little challenging at times. Yes you can get pub grub but if you are looking for something a little special its difficult. It was our second visit this month on a Thursday evening. Food was excellent , service with a smile from Nicky. Little bit pricey but you would expect that with with the quality of the food and the service. Would highly recommend."

"Parked here before our six-mile round walk as we’d booked in for Sunday lunch. Although there isn’t a separate Sunday lunch menu, the regular menu, special boards and extra specials the staff told us about (great memory) gave plenty of options. For starters we chose Whitby crab salad, pigeon breast (amazing) and Brie brûlée. Mains were duck breast, rabbit, chorizo and sun-dried tomato pie and beer braised Lincolnsire beef-all were great portions and delicious. The service from the two young gentlemen was outstanding; we all said what a credit to your families you were. Dog and children friendly. Will definitely return."

"We have been coming here a few times but sadly our most recent visit will be our last, very unorganised, nobody to show us where to sit so we picked a table only to be asked to move as it was apparently reserved (Nothing on the table to indicate this) then it took over 20 minutes before our order was taken. Meanwhile people continued to come in, nobody greeting them so they just sat down and ended up being asked to move. Seemed if they knew you they couldn't do enough for you whereas if you were a visitor, they were much less interested. We found the staff quite rude and patronising and the service was slow so on the basis of that we shan't bother again."

"This place has got something unique about itself! Went for a breakfast and coffee on Sunday morning. Had a coffee with oat milk absolutely delicious so I decided to have another one! They have separate vegan menu so remember to ask for one when you get there! I’ve decided to try their vegan fish and chips and I was not disappointed, it was so good! Finished with vegan cheesecakes, another tasty meal. Really enjoyed my visit, lovely and welcoming staff, super tasty food and great coffee!"

"Garbage went in Sunday 7thJuly. Stuck to floor stuck to bar and table. Glasses hung up over bar looked like they were placed there after someone had finished there drink. Waited at bar young girl strolled over and said do want something lol . Ordered two cocktails vile . No orange and Prosecco flat in cocktail all soda water. Pints watered down . Pub looks okay on first impressions but not once in maybe why it wasn’t busy. No atmosphere. Staff looked happy to be there too lol . Can’t comment on food didn’t risk it. Such a shame."

"He ordered the Moving Mountains burger with the Philly topping and enjoyed it, along with the chips that came with it. I opted for the sosage, mash, peas, and gravy, but found it to be the blandest meal I've ever had, despite my love for mash. I ended up giving the rest to my friend, who also found it tasteless. The prices were quite high at £15 for the burger and £14 for the sosage and mash, and we both felt it was overpriced. However, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. "Just moved to the area and tried this pub for the first time for lunch on Friday. Booked our table in the dog friendly area of the pub. The landlord was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Ordered fish chips and pie and mash. We shared the dessert of Eaton Mess. The plates were lovely and hot likewise the food. The food was cooked by the Landlord’s wife. The fish and chips were amazing. The fish was haddock and cooked perfectly. The batter was yummy. Served with mushy peas and tartare sauce. The best fish and chips I’ve had in ages. My husband said his pie was great. The pastry was perfect and the filling was full of meat. The vegetables were cooked not crunchy. The Eaton Mess was great and finished off the meal perfectly. Best to book as the pub was very popular at lunch time, which is good to see. The Landlord recommended a grapefruit soda as my soft drink very nice indeed. We will be back."

"Really disapointed as was looking forward to trying this new restaurant. First of all it was very busy so had to wait ad keep look out for a table, then eventually when we did we had to find someone to clear the table of plates and then my mum went and found a cloth and spray to clean it as the staff were running round like headless chickens serving food, and only one memberof staff was taking food orders. On ordering we were told two of our meals would be without onion rings as they had sold out but they werent willing to provide anything else such as a slice of garlic bread or chips, infact there exact words were I dont know what you are complaining for, its only a couple of onion rings! Not really good customer service, especially when food you order is over £70!! We were old 40min wait on food but it was actually 1hour before it arrived, and when food did arrive sausages were missing off the mixed grill and then reallised coleslaw was missing off the brisket beef. The food was actually ok, just a shame about the lack of staff and customer service."

"Canot fault the food, which was excellent. The antipasti was nicely presented and the smokey meatballs were tasty, as was my wife's cannelloni. Th services was very poor, despite the restaurant not being busy. After we finished the main course we waited for nearly 20 minutes before I eventually had to find the waitress to cleasr the table and order dessert. Pity that some retaurants do not seem to understand the importance of good service, which is part of the dining experience, and that poor service can spoil an otherwise good meal."

"This used to be our favourite Indian anywhere but unfortunately during our last visit (we haven’t been for a couple of years) we found it was just average. The food was absolutely fine but not as good as it used to be and the soft drinks tasted funny. Staff also didn’t seem as friendly as during previous visits. Shame as for the amount we paid we won’t be rushing back."

"beautiful sunny day I would cut the grass and then go to lunch in the local village pub. we arrived and sat at a table in the bar where dogs are welcome. I ordered a few drinks and then chose our dinner. the menu card on the table only to say when the meals are ordered at the bar that the sunday' menu had ended with something disappointed that we did not go to lunch roast beef, I asked for the normal/daily menu and was even more disappointed that this menu did not begin until baguettes were the only offer! outside the splash' is a large board advertisement that the pub is open every day and there is no mention on the menu that the service ends at any given time. I will visit the queens head at the end of the village next week."
