"Myself and partner visited the restuarant as I know it for years but not been there for years. Anyway, the restuarant was clean and nice. However can I say the food did taste satisfactory like home cooked. we chose the set menu and asked for bread with olive oil and basalico. 1. The waiter gave us french bread stick baguette cut up which was charged at £2.00. This was completely the wrong bread for it- not sour dough bread which is for this pre starter which is what one should get a shame on this establishment and so cheap! 2. First plate : I ordered the pasta with sausage and tomato which was very good, however my partner has the liver pate ' which when brought looked terrible and incredibly poorly presented with 'cheap ' sandwich toasted cut bread. No presentation 3. Second plate : Chicken with cream tomato sauce was ok but the vegetables where again poorly presented and just boiled. Lacked complete imagination and presentation 4. The head waiter /owner has dirty trousers on serving customers! 5. Coffee: coffee after meal was poor compared and was not kimbo or lavazza 6. The bill including 2 × set menus, only one large of sparking water, 2 small coffees and bread plus 12.5 service charge was £50 for two people no alcohol or desert 7. Coffee cups were dirty and not washed properly and had been missed Summary Casa mia served us ‘Hospital standard’ cooked food that is satisfactory but lacked imagination in presentation to almost over cooked, non any kind atmosphere, not even italian music was played!! Come on?? Staff presentation was satisfactory and food passable to be edible. Honestly there are better places in east Moseley village to eat for that money and we won 't go back there."

"I had a disappointing experience at Cote. My mother had just moved to the area today and we were looking for a quick bite to eat, before we started to unpack. Despite the restaurant not being full and having empty tables, the waitress on the door was very rude and immediately told us that they were full. There were a few empty tables which could clearly be seen in the windows. I have been to other Cote chains many times before and have never encountered such behavior. I quickly went online and found that there were indeed tables available, so I made a reservation and returned to the restaurant, hoping to wait at the bar and have some drinks. However, we were not allowed in and were told that our reservation was for 15 minutes later. I went away and, to my surprise, our reservation was canceled even though there were empty tables. I was surprised and frustrated that Cote required reservations. It's not even a high end restaurant, and the prices are reasonable FiveGuys is more expensive and that's a fast food restaurant. If they had simply told us politely that there was a dress code or some other issue, it would have been more acceptable. Unfortunately, they were rude and unaccommodating. As someone who lives in Richmond, I am disappointed that my first experience in Esher was ruined by the poor service at Cote. We ended up going to Coppa Club in Cobham, where we were treated much better. I hope that Cote can improve their service in the future so that other customers do not have the same experience as we did."

"First visit to this establishment on 29/12/2021, date for the owner. It's got kerb appeal to pull in customers, and internally the All Day Restaurant doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately our welcome and first experience of Customer Service was cold at best from the female waitress/ front...of house. For our breakfast my wife asked for the Ganola, and checked if it contained banana as my Wife is allergic to it, reply was not sure can't guarantee it doesn't Now most people would either know it does or doesn't or at least would take the time to go and ask the Kitchen, this is something every other restaurant or cafe we have asked the question did! My wife ended choosing a portion of the Red Velvet cake, unfortunately it appears being left out in the open air had caused it to become dry and stale, my wife opted to leave the majority of the cake, and because of the customer service and what I had received for my breakfast, decided to just take it on the chin and couldn’t be bothered raising the issue with the cake quality. I decided to choose fried eggs on toast, I asked for the eggs to be well done as I do not like runny white (snot) and asked for the toast to be buttered! The waitress took on board my request for the well done egg, however, said they do not butter toast and leave butter on the side OK fair enough please leave the eggs off the toast and I'll butter the toast when it arrives. Eggs turn up on buttered toast and under done, immediately I asked for them to be sent back and reminded her you did acknowledge my request. Eggs came back more than well done, and I had lost my appetite! The male Waiter had far more customer service, however, a concern was his cough and lack of face mask, the female waitress didn't bother with a face mask, so when it comes to serving food and passing from customer to customer, this restaurant isn't the safest of COVID places to visit, compared to others in the close vicinity. Hopefully the owner will take the critique as constructive like other establishments have, and not want to reply negatively. Good luck for the future."

"The Foley has always been one of our go to lunch haunts in Claygate.... they do a great burger although I swap the fries for the triple cooked chips. Hoping they bring back the Eton Mess for summer its very sweet but one of the best!! Edited in 12/04/24 To say we were disappointed is putting it mildly. My friend and I had been talking about gammon steaks recently as my last visit to another pub that had gammon on the menu was a disaster, it was gammon ham not gammon. My friend sent me a photo of The Foley's new menu and on it was gammon steak. We rocked up today and both had the gammon. We both left most of it, my friend gave it a better go than I did. I honestly don't think I've had gammon that tough before, I'm still picking bits out of my teeth. The only reason we gave it the bashing we did was the salsa that came with it, that was delicious and the chips were good too... dipped in salsa were excellent. After giving up on the gammon, we attacked the dessert menu and settled on the creme brulee. This was beautiful, be careful with the little ginger biscuits because even saying I can hold my ginger, it's never too strong, lord they packed a punch ... wow, did they! The creme brulee was beautifully thick and creamy ... maybe a little more brulee with a better snap but that's a personal preference. The rhubarb and custard and the side was delicious, the rhubarb being bothy punchy and sweet. Yes the dessert was definitely the crown on today's lunch"
