"Ristorante Pizzeria Nablus “EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE VIEWS OF THE LAKE” despite all the bad reviews you find on the internet those reviews are wrong, dated view of older restaurant mgmt/team All of our orders table of 8 came out more or less on time and were delightfully prepared and tasty ... which is not always the case, when a restaurant has a great view ... this restaurant has a great sweeping view of the lake and the offshore islands Food is double menu upscale traditional Italian fare, and diverse pizza menu ... we ate off both menus with 6 adults ranging from 20s to 50s to 60s plus 16 and 18 y/o daughters GRAN FRITTO MISTO €24 excellent breading not greasy at all , great range of white fish, sardines very small , squid, etc. LA GRECA 14 € feta, pomodori, cetrioli, cipolla rossa, olive nere al forno, peperoncino verde in agrodolce feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, baked black olives, sweet and sour green chillis MARGHERITA pizza tomato, mozzarella and basil €8 .. plus several pizzas forgot the names that are on the printed menu but not the website ... 20 or so to choose from DESSERTS were huge great tiramisu €7, panna cotta €6, sorbets, more and more Giorgio, Fernando Caroline were our primary waitstaff and each was informed, polite/happy/charming/helpful even tho one of them basically has no English, he went out of his way to make it clear in Italian sign language/gestures One of the servers shared that there was *major* management change was 3 months ago and that is why everyone is so happy, and the food so good ! And the 75% negative reviews online were *so* wrong Parking is free, fairly easy to park but only about 25 spots ... navigation up the hill was fine for mid sized vehicles not always the case in Gardone Riviera"

"booked for lunch in this restaurant with purely Roman menu. aperitif offered very appreciated with chip polenta. order first including half sleeve to the gricia, peat cacio and pepper. chestnuts with deer ragouts are all very good! like the second ribs of lamb and pork. . also tasted the artichoke to the Roman..super! good price ratio and very friendly service. we will return between spring and summer to eat other courses under the outer pergola!"

"We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel and had a lovely time. The restaurant is located very near to Gabrielle d’Anunzio’s Vittoriale. There are absolutely charming ladies who look after you and who provide very caring and friendly service. The food and...wine are both good and not over priced. You are welcomed with a Prosecco followed by an amuse bouche of a type of gazpacho without the cucumber. I had an excellent beef tartare followed by a very good risotto. My partner had scallops followed by a veal chop. The wine we had was from Piemonte and only cost euro and extremely pleasant. The whole meal cost euro and was good value for what we had. "In occasione di una visita al Vittoriale, ho cenato due sere di seguito in questo ristorante, situato in una via interna di Gardone Riviera da cartolina. Ottima musica soffusa, personale gentilissimo e grandissima attenzione per il cliente (avevamo avvertito che la mia compagna è celiaca e non è mancato nè il companatico adatto nè un dolcetto al momento del caffè . Deliziosi i bocconici di trota salmonata, abbondante e gustoso il piatto di casarecce al sugo di lago. Ottimo il pescato del giorno alla griglia e soprendente il gelato fior di latte di loro produzione. Prezzo assolutamente consono (e comunque conveniente ."

"Possiamo definirci ormai frequentatori habitue di questo eccellente Relais Châteaux; Villa Fiordaliso è La dimora Storica per eccellenza sul Lago di Garda. All’arrivo l’affaccio sul lago e la villa sulla sx sono già da solo una cartolina. Il giardino curatissimo, gli interni risalenti all’epoca della villa sono un incanto ed un tuffo nella storia di inizio Il ristorante; sotto la direzione di chef D. Colantuono, che ha solo anni, in tutte le occasioni in cui abbiamo pranzato o cenato ha sempre mantenuto uno standard elevato e mai deluso le aspettative. Gli spaghetti affumicati la ricciola fritta con puntarelle sedano e mela verde, e la torta di rose sono quasi un Ns menu fisso. "Wow. Fifth day in Italy at Largo di Garda and finally a very good restaurant, found simply by chance. It's no fine dining. There are some gambling machines inside and the venue is next to a street. Ok, all not ideal and promising. At least you can sit outside and enjoy the sun and a view of the lake. Consequently one star less. But the food is f ing delicious. Home made pasta, very good pizza and the tiramisu. All exceptionnel. We recommend the place for the food any time. Pricing is more than reasonable for what you get."

"The location is beautiful, by the lake in a quiet, relaxed and classy atmosphere and the food is good. And that 's about it. From the beginning the personnel, even though polite, had a very unfriendly, stiff attitude. We had to ask several times before we could order a drink and when the waitress finally came, her first question was about Mineral water, did we prefer flat or sparkling water; not if we cared for a Cocktail. Once the drinks were served and we were starting to relax the Appetizers were served. Just in the middle of it. Hot Appetizers. Perfect timing. We obviously sent the dishes back. And that was the last we saw of the waitress and the hostess. We suddenly realized that it was going to be a long wait for the Main Course. And right we were. It took 40 minutes to finally see a sad faced waiter bring the Fiorentina . In spite of it, the meat was good, cooked as it should be. And, again, I had to ask for the wine to be served. There is a good choice of wines and the Amarone we picked turned out to be a perfect pairing. Prices are on the high side considering that the service was way below par. In conclusion, youth, good looks and strong perfume, too strong so to overcome the scent of food, do not make up for lack of professionalism and class. Maybe the Management should be more careful when hiring employees and look for experience, efficiency and savoir faire. And a smile."

"il pescatore is the fish and seafood restaurant of the legendary grand hotel fasano. it is a casual and relaxed restaurant with great food, nice and innovative presentations and friendly staff. very easy to go, serve their own wein after opening the bottle. the restaurant. room (like the hotel breakfast) is large and it could do with some dividra and more textile. Eating and wein is good, but something pricy (I think that the hotels are fine restaurant offer better value for money). beautiful terrace with beautiful lake view."

"On our Hotel's staff advice we ate at Il Giglio on our arrival night. The Restaurant is off the Main road a little difficult to find. But the little extra effort to find it is worth the while. The settings are modern, simple and clean. The tables are well spaced apart, covid-19 oblige I suppose. The Restaurant is simply: FISH. Fresh, well cooked, well presented on king size dishes with copious portions. The oysters my wife had were fresh, they smelled the sea, the Branzino al forno (oven cooked sea bass) was a pleasant discovery, we normally have it oven cooked in a crust of salt, and my fried Calamari were as they are supposed to be: gently fried to a light golden color, cooked but not chewy. Perfect. The wine list is a little limited and it is composed of mostly whites from the Garda region. Sandro, the owner, is omnipresent but discreet, very efficient and courteous. It is not an inexpensive Restaurant, but if you are looking for a meal were fresh and good fish is the objective, look no further. You are at the right address. We were so satisfied that we paid the Restaurant a second visit. And satisfied we were, again! And so were the couple of English people, sitting next to us, who kept on looking at our dishes and who decided to repeat the experience the next day. I don't know if and when we'll be in the area again, but if we do we will definitely put Il Giglio on our agenda."

"Let me start off by saying that this review should have, and could have been written long time ago as we 've come back here for the last four-five years every time we 've been in the area on vacation. It is super easy to locate as you will stumble upon it as soon as you enter the historic center of Gardone, so parking can sometimes be an issue if coming by car. You will find it right across from the Vittoriale. The people working in the restaurant always keep an upbeat and positive attitude even though it can get hectic sometimes (especially if the tourist train arrives with lots of passengers). I saw a review calling it out for being a tourist trap, and I 've always thought the opposite! They have all the reasons in the world for not doing enough as they will get business anyways, but for us, they 've always delivered splendid service and great food. Great prices as well! If I could say one negative thing would be that the draft beer isn 't the best I know, but it 's a minor issue in the light of us having eaten here probably 25-35 times over the course of the years. Family run place which by no means just provides great pizzas, but also plenty of other dishes. My wife 's favorite is the Cozze Tarantina (Mussles in tomato, garlic sauce) and if I were to suggest one pizza that I really love, I would order La Bomba (Three types of sausages with the option of having an egg as well, which I usually leave out). The owner, Mario, and his family deserves all credit for giving a great dining experience at a very decent price. Highly recommended!"

"We visited first on the day we arrived and were grateful for being fed at 10pm on a Sunday evening. We just had a pizza each plus a delicious bottle of wine. We also had a bottle of water (realised later they had charged for 2). Rather surprised to find that all pizzas were basically a marguerita (nice base) and then whatever other toppings you required were served, uncooked, on the side. It 's how we do it we were told.....oh well My partner wanted to go back for their special of mixed grilled meats and polenta. We ordered the same wine, two pasta starters and then two portions of the mixed meat and polenta. My ravioli was very nice. My partners sardine spaghetti dish was rather too fishy but that was just a matter of taste. Sadly the main was a major disappointment all round. The meat had clearly been reheated and was probably several days old already. It would have been lifted by a little passata or other liquid, but none was served. Dry bread to start with no oil, vinegar or butter. No parmesan cheese with the pasta and no salt or pepper on the table. €81 euros later we left decidedly underwhelmed."

"This was the best food we had on this particular trip to Lombardy and maybe some of the best food we ever had in Italy. We arrived right at two in the afternoon when the kitchen normally shuts down but they were willing to serve us lunch as long as we didn’t want pizza as the pizza oven had already shut down. There are outdoor tables on a pretty patio out back. My companion ordered ravioli stuffed with wood fired meat I think it was boar). Delicious smokey meaty stuffing complimented by sage and butter sauce. I had grilled prawns, artichoke hearts and potatoes. Really great too with all elements grilled at very high heat. Prawns had their heads intact but had been peeled and intestinal tract removed. So great attention to detail. For dessert we shared a large portion of homemade hazelnut gelato. The nuts had been ground coarsely so it had a delightful sandy texture. Prices cheaper than the run of the meal cooking at the lakefront restaurants near the resorts. It’s worth the jaunt up to San Michele for the exquisite cooking. Take the 005 bus from in front of the Grande Hotel Gardone if you don’t have a hire car. It’s a picturesque 20 minute ride up the mountain. Just be warned that the 005 does not have its number displayed, doesn’t always run on time, and looks like a white minivan or shared taxi. If a large white van pulls up at the bus stop, ask if it is going to San Michele. Incidentally a nice spot for a walk."
