"We visited The Cheques for a birthday meal, and I have to say, we won’t be returning. There were ten of us, and most of us ordered the roast. We waited a long time for our meals, and when they finally arrived, everything was cold. One person ordered the beer-battered fish and chips, and that was cold too. We don’t mind waiting for our food, but it's disappointing when it arrives cold after such a long wait. I wouldn’t recommend this pub to anyone. It used to be really popular, but it has clearly lost that appeal, which is a shame."
