"Went to Langley 's last night as a party of 6 girls for my retirement dinner. We have been to Langley 's many times and actually have a WhatsApp group titled Langley 's so I am not writing this lightly. We had a lovely While you ponder of Cocktail sausages and bread with a lovely garlic butter and then ordered our mains. I just fancied a starter of tempura prawns and some chips so ordered that. The prawns came with the other mains but no chips which I had to ask for and arrived after I had eaten the prawns. We then ordered dessert and I ordered some cheese. The desserts arrived but no cheese. When my friends were almost finished I asked where my cheese was, to be told that it was on it 's way. After another 10 minutes still nothing arrived and when I enquired I was told the kitchen had forgotten about it. The restaurant was not busy so I was very disappointed. We then asked for the bill and requested that the cheese be removed. The bill arrived and we requested that the service charge be amended to about half which did not go down well with the server! Such a shame as Langley 's is such a lovely restaurant with great ambience and food, and usually great service, but not this time."

"We stopped at this cafe mid afternoon on a Sunday because there was parking right outside of the door. The menu was extensive and so reasonably priced that we were spoilt for choice. Having made our decision we ordered a lasagne and a mixed grill from the very attentive waiter. The meal was delivered in a reasonably quick time and the portions were huge. The lasagne was the best my wife had ever had, home made and full of flavour. This was presented with chips and a well constructed side salad. My mixed grill was substantial and a good assortment of meats, the lamb chop being the best thing on the plate, it was so tasty. This was accompanied by a copious amount of peas and chips. We were so full that we ended up having to leave some on our plates, something we seldom do but we were just stuffed! Our second cup of tea was complimentary, which is a rare thing these days. All in all, an excellent find, with excellent value for money and we are only sorry that we do not live in the area to make this a regular event. These owners have got it right so keep up the good work!"

"From the outside looking in it looks like your average kebab shop. However, at the back if the kebab shop is the restaurant. This was my first ever time eating here and I can honestly say I will 100% be back! I was very impressed. Food was fantastic if your a big eater make sure you come here. With their portions you will definitely not starve! Visually the restaurant is pleasing to the eye. Their bathrooms are impeccably clean and a bonus they smell nice. Service was amazing, we had a really attentive older lady who waited on us and she just gave off that mum vibe. I'll even come back just for a chat with her haha she was really lovely! I only have 1 negative but its not an actual negative. Don't sit near the back kitchen because it's cold, if your like me and ALWAYS cold sit in the middle of the restaurant. 1 will give this place a 9/10 definitely one of Kingstons hidden gems!"

"I have lived in kingston for over 10 years and although I love it here, there are too many big chains, so this is a refreshing place to visit. to my view, they make the best cortado in the city. beautiful atmosphere. my only criticism is that I wish they would sort out their shaky. I've spit my coffee more than once!"

"Where to start? This legendary hostelry is known around the world as the most eclectic, friendly and community minded tavern in the known universe. A small but carefully husbanded selection of ales nudges elbows with some of your mass market favourites. Good selection of spirits including a non-alcoholic gin if that's your thing. Great bands here play all the time from quiet, thoughtful modern folk to foot stomping crowd pleasers. The atmosphere for the favourites is, shall we say, intimate. In addition to all this, The Lamb is the heartbeat of community events, pumping love through the streets and parks of this leafy commuterville. Urban downhill skiing anyone? If you're in need of food then it's mostly limited to cheese, though there is a particularly fine selection on offer. Besides, didn't someone once say that a person with beer and cheese is a king/queen/royalty of self-specified preference indeed?"

"We stayed here for a weekend so we could visit Kew gardens and Hampton Court Palace. Its difficult for me to rate this place because most was great but some not so good. On arriving here we were greeted and checked in by a very friendly young man, he offered to take our bags when he showed us to our rooms. He explained how to work everything like the coffee machine and the great air conditioning which was a god send due to the hot weather. He was very knowledgeable of the area and took the time to talk to us. The breakfasts were delicious and we were served by a young girl on 2 of the morning who she was very pleasant and helpful. On our last morning a young man served our breakfast. The beds were comfortable with lovely crisp clean sheets. The shower was great with plenty hot water and lovely white fluffy towels. Toiletries are shared so I didn't use them. The free mini bar was an added bonus. The room had everything you needed for a short stay (Hair dryer Iron Ironing Board and a safe) Now the negatives: No shelf in the bathroom to put anything but we could live with that. Although the inside of the shower was clean the skirting around the shower and bathroom was very dirty with a lot of dust. The carpet was filthy so we kept our shoes on. I dropped a sweet that rolled under the bed and because I couldn't access it I pulled the bed and OMG! there was about 10 years of dust and debris under the bed I was gob smacked! The difference in colour was unbelievable. What a let down by housekeeping! Its a good job it was our last morning or else it would have put me off staying. Management need to be aware of this and housekeeping trained to do their job better or given more time to do a better job. The manager did not check us out or I would have mentioned it to him, the guy who served our breakfast checked us out. We stayed in room 6"

"I went into The Press Room expecting the outstanding and positive service they always proudly advertise and was left disappointed and disgusted, clearly this fantastic service they speak of is something they preach but do not practise. The service was below what I expect from any coffee shop, unenthusiastic and unconfident people take your order with no sense of happiness or desire to please customers. I was barely looked at let alone spoken to in a kind manner. I ordered a cappuccino, reluctantly as the price was somewhat expensive, and was immediately shocked by how watery and foul tasting it was. Definitely wasn’t worth the money. The atmosphere is poor and forgettable, there is no personality or reason to keep this place in mind for future visits and it’s definitely not worth your money. I wouldn’t recommend."

"I visited montys with my brother and we both found a mixed bag. the menu was authentic and varied and the naan and the pickles were very good. but on the lower side, I found my hunch under seasoned, the portions were quite small and not much worth and our rice was quite cold. I wanted to try other dishes from the menu again, but I hope they were fed better and more seasoned and that the portions correspond to the competition"

"Although the restaurant is pleasantly decorated, that was the highlight of our visit. We felt that there was a bad attitude to customers from the start. We asked for tap water and instead of being given a jug for the table, we were each given a half filled glass. When we saw the astronomical prices for drinks, for water, for creamy milk drinks we realised that we'd better make our tepid tap water last. The food was average with no extras like you'd expect our cold mezze plate for was basically some dips plus rice in vine leaves. No pitta you have to pay extra for that. Rest of food distinctly average, some not nice at all spinach parcels avoid. Very loud music playing. Large service charge added. Will never go back"

"Noodles!. Wagamama is a chain which serves noodles. The seating is very nice and the food comes on a first-come first-serve bases. So, if someones' meal is ready before someone elses, the one that was made first comes to the table. I ordered steak and noodles. The steak was tasty, but the noodles were undercooked. The orange juice was VERY big but I managed it. The ice cream was lovely. Me and my parents paid £25 which is a reasonable amount. It turns out that Wagamamas' speciality; noodles, is not so special after all!"

"The food was good but not many options for vegetarians... The rest of the family really enjoyed their meat dishes... My only problem was that the hygiene aspect in terms of staff and washing hands was a concern. On two occasions staff blew their nose but did not wash hands afterwards. One member of staff observe to drop a couple of coffee beans but then these were put on the cocktail.. Maybe I have very high hygiene standard and this is quite acceptable.."

"Highly recommend the seared tuna We shared this as a starter but could have eaten it all over again. Our waiter was attentive to our table and even gifted the birthday girl a pudding. Both our mains were superb and will definitely be returning, to sample the rest of the mouth watering menu. For a local Fish restaurant in my opinion,this is a winner. "The waiter was humble, the food was filled with flavour. The tomatoe base of the pizza and the dough was just PERFECT. Actually the best tasting pizza in town. "Six of us came here for dinner. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and big thanks to chef for not overcooking the calves liver pink at our request and beautifully soft and delicious. Friends who had fish and chips were really happy too. Tasty and generous portions. Sadly can't give 5 stars because unlike the other dishes we ordered, the veggie burger was tiny, dry, sad looking and with miserly portion of chips. If the Vic can sort out the veggie choices we'll certainly be back with our friends."

"My daughter chose this restaurant very last minute. They were able to accommodate us for 8pm which was perfect. I never leave a tip but on this occasion I did because of the great accommodating experience, great food, and wonderful staff I can not fault this restaurant. If you want great service and food come here. They were so busy zooming up and down, but they still had time and thought of their customers. We didn’t ask or tell them it was my daughters 18th birthday but they brought over a tiramisu cake with candle and sang her happy birthday with music. Was totally unexpected and really made her night special. You can’t get a better experience in my opinion then Al fornos"

"We came here for my friend's birthday last week.. they were quite attentive.. it's only a shame one of our party was running late so it got a bit awkward having to say we weren't ready to order BUT we were asked for drinks and poppadom starters very early on. Really lovely restaurant setting, spacious and generally had a relaxed feel to it. I would definitely recommend getting a Thali as the name is all about it. We were raving about the peshwari naans- girls said it was the best one they'd ever had. I got the MALAI KARI KING PRAWN THALI (GF)(N)(M and whilst it was nice, it didn't make me food dance! As I like spice I would get the Chilli Paneer next time but the prawns were really succulent and everything lent itself to each other. I was full to the brim after my Thali.. would definitely come back again."

"This restaurant used to be a fantastic spot known for their delicious burgers, but they have now shifted to serving poor-quality tapas-style dishes. It was evident that the dishes were pre-prepared and reheated on site, as one of the items we ordered was unavailable and served on skewers instead. The duck croquette lacked any noticeable duck flavor, and the chicken and chorizo skewers were chewy with an overpowering taste of chorizo. The calamari was inedible and possibly the worst I have ever had. To make matters worse, when I added a 10% tip for the service, the bill was rounded up to just over £5 which seemed like an easy way for them to cheat customers. It's a shame that this place has declined so much, as it used to be a great bar. Rating: Food- 1, Service- 3, Atmosphere- 3.
