"The restaurant of Hotel Dermuth has been popular with the middle and upper class people of the surrounding villas for decades. This long tradition is clearly visible in the house. The furniture has not changed much, but is still in a surprisingly good condition, given...its age. Inevitably, it looks a bit outdated nowadays. Even the silver cutlery, silver bread baskets and alike are still in use, although they are surely several decades old. The elegant and also very traditional menu offers a wide choice. This restaurant continues to focus on classic Viennese cuisine and it specializes in beef dishes. Nonetheless even vegetarians will find a sufficient number of dishes to choose from. We had arrived early for lunch on a Sunday and the time we had to wait for our dishes was pretty normal. In the meantime we tried the amuse gueule, namely a smoked fish spread, which had to our bewilderment already been on the table along with a basket of sliced bread at our arrival. So it did not come as much of a surprise that the bread was very dry indeed. As to the dishes we had ordered our experiences were mixed. While the Barbary duck breast was alright, the seabream fillet as well as the fried potatoes accompanying it turned out to be excessively greasy. The blue trout tasted good, but was not blue at all. Even if the color in this case has no bearing on the taste, one may expect from a classy restaurant daring to put blue trout on the menu that it is capable of cooking this notoriously difficult dish. In the course of time the restaurant became almost full and service quality deteriorated correspondingly. The personnel is only partly to blame for this since they were simply too few in number to cope with the heavy workload. At any rate, having to wait over 20 minutes for the bill is pretty annoying. This is not a bad restaurant. But seeing that it is so pricey, one may expect a better performance. We found value for money to be average at best."

"Yesterday we dared to go to a table for the first time after our son's serious illness (tongue and tongue floor cancer). It was an incredible experience!!! We were greeted in a very friendly manner and shown to the table. The ambience is so cozy. Clear lines and invites you to linger. The menu is kept manageable, which enables the kitchen to provide guests with a perfect taste experience. Since our son can't eat chunky food yet, the fridat soup was even pureed for him. So he was also a full-fledged guest and we felt incredibly comfortable. Even a second soup “to go” was made possible. Price-performance ratio is more than reasonable. We were charged €55.30 for the evening. Such restaurateurs deserve far more than 5 stars because they completely stand out from the others. If there were more places like this, more people with disabilities would feel welcome. We only had this one visit left as we are 400km away. As soon as we have time, we will be there again. A big thank you again for the great evening and kind regards from Bavaria. Vegetarian options: The menu offers wonderful salads Dietary restrictions: Restrictions are addressed and responded to with great effort without making the guest feel uncomfortable. Parking: There are parking spaces directly in front of the door. Kid-friendliness: Guests with children are definitely welcome in this restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an outdoor area/terrace that can be easily used with a wheelchair. The interior is easily accessible via 1 step. Help is a given in this restaurant."
