"Having lived in the area for some time we have searched for a restaurant that is as good value and serves food of the quality of Le Camelia in Auriac. Whilst I would say that Le Camelia would still be our favourite Les Coquelicots was excellent. We visited today at lunch time (myself, my partner and my parents) and had the 5 course menu for 12 Euros including wine and coffee. A lovely home-made soup, a tasty cheese and tomato ravioli for the starter and roast pork and flageoulet beans cooked in garlic for the main course which was excellent. The cheese was not your standard cheese for a lunch time menu but a Tomme de Savoie with great flavour. The desert an excellent chocolate moelleux. This place is out of the way for many but well worth a detour or a trip out. The evening menu is mainly Crepes so we cannot comment on that, but for a filling, home-cooked, tasty, good-value lunch this is hard to beat, only coming second to Le Camelia in our opinion. The restaurant is very pleasantly decorated inside and they take the name to heart with a theme of poppys throughout. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and monsieur speaks very good English.Give it a try (we will certainly be back) and we do not think you will be disappointed."
