"we have visited this establishment according to recommendations and it is a light trip for us. ca. 25 minutes away. So when we decided to eat a Sunday and were in this direction, we decided to have a 2nd crack. and the things have become even better since our last visit! the service here is really good. we suspect that it is the manager, but a young lady welcomed us with a really friendly reception, and not long after we offered a selection of tables. dogs are allowed, and the pub does not look like a feathered 'gastro pub,' and what we like about it. it seems like a real pub serving excellent dining. we were quite late at the arrival and were told that roasting after 3pm were not possible, although this did not seem a massive rigid rule. we both decided for the roasting and were very satisfied. in all honesty, while the cut of pork was in its shape and great decent, it was not the best quality meat we ever had, and it was the only slightly negative point in our whole visit, but the cook did what he could stand among the others. the sweet thing that came with him was absolutely top-class, but. a massive bowl we couldn't finish. the gravitation was lovely and my wife who usually has a smaller appetit, asked for more! prsentation was also on the chef should be aware that his microvene was noticed with the conjured cork...absolutely brilliant and real love to detail. other courses were also great, and there is a good choice of beer and gins. I would bet that this could be a Michael Star winner too long ago, as it was sister institution. I have eaten even worse in such excellent restaurants and we will return efinately, but they will not leave until our next visit."
