"We went to this restaurant at all chance, from crossing to the touquet. despite a strong affluence that day - due to almost summer time! - we've been installed at the table quickly. that is the only thing that was fast in this service. Indeed, we found time long before someone comes to take our order. even longer before being served. But let's go back to the order: for me I found the titles of the very allevious dishes and I was looking forward to taking the black angus beef coast with the hotel's butter. It was only 10 minutes after we took our order that I was told that no, sorry, there was no more. Good. So I'm going down on the other title that made me savor: the "swine side, 3 regional cheese sauce". "Oh yes, but it's long, too long, you're gonna delay everyone if you take this." Good good. not wanting to delay the rest of the already hungry hosts, so I fell down, a little frustrated, on a plate of fresh pasta, fermières, with "greasant "lardons" and all the stuff. still titled rather promising. We expect generosity and quality ingredients. Well, I was disappointed. fresh pasta had nothing exceptional to my taste. not bad of course, but I had difficulty seeing the "value added" of their freshness. The sauce was not served generously (enough) to my taste. I don't see what they had of peasants. where I expected some beautiful pieces, I saw coming from little bacon not much more refined and tasteful than those we buy in commerce. In addition, you had to pay an extra fee (1,50 € if my memory is good!) to have parmesan on the pasta; I found it a little cheek. Of course the plate was not bad, but I expected a lot better and see a lot more difference with the pasta we can prepare ourselves at home. In the end, I prefer to limit my own carbonara pasta! The other members of my family were not packed more than that by their pasta. My husband found his "market return" (i.e., the lotte) too water-swept. As for dessert, I chose tatin, with caramelized apples. there still great disappointment because if it is nicely presented, I did not expect the apples to look more like fruit pasta than a tatin pie: I found it too sweet and much too dry in the mouth, lacking melt. on the other hand, special mention for the chocolate marrow that I had the opportunity to taste and which reveals the only true good surprise of this meal, sum quite common. My sister, barely after complimenting the waitress for this dessert, was told: "Isn't he good? Say it on trip advisor then!" phrase that was repeated at the time of the addition. twice. Personally, this is the first time I hear a restorer claiming a positive opinion! Anyway, if I had to go back to the touquet, I would choose to test another restaurant; even if the reception and the dishes are suitable."

"We had selected another couple of restaurants but both were full so we stumbled across this place. To sum up, it's a shame - the chef is obviously very good indeed but the place is spoiled by awful front of house / service. The menu is pretty extensive and, as well as traditional French food, it has pizza and a few things verging on American. We were seated by a friendly but harassed-looking waitress. Shortly after we sat down, we noticed the guy stood behind the bar area having a major telling-off session with one of the other members of staff. We should have taken that as a warning ;)In all, there was the bar guy and three waiting staff. The young girl who mostly served us was the best of the bunch and she was way below the standard you'd expect for a waitress. The other two were utterly hopeless. Dropped glasses and completely ignored customers. Basically, a couple of college students who had been given no training whatsoever on how to look after paying customers. They were on a different planet entirely.I was the only one of our family group to have a starter. It took a fair while to come..... It was Coquilles St Jaques (scallops with a cheese sauce) and I have to say that it was superb. One of the best things I've eaten in quite some time. So 1 nil to the chef.We waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for the mains. One of the French families on a nearby table left after a heated argument with the bar guy (the manager??) due to the length of time it took. Other French folks in there were starting to talk amongst themselves as to how awful the service was and it became a running joke. It was like Fawlty Towers. On crack.I took 10 minutes to get a wine menu. It then took multiple attempts to get anyone to come and take a wine order. When they did, the wine never actually came. I gave up.A real shame as the plates of food we all (eventually) got were all, without exception, really, really good.We finally managed to pay (it even took 3 attempts to get the bill) and left.I would not go back - the atmosphere was bad because the waiting staff / bar guy obviously had a dreadful working relationship and, in terms of looking after customers, were so far out of their depth that it was bordering on comical."
