"Francis at reception speaks very good English and he's a very pleasant guy. The steak dinner was amazing. Very good steak. My main issue with the hotel is the room design. On the positive side, you get very big bed and even a mini fridge. On the negative side, firstly the toilet is in a separate room to the bathroom, which means you have to exit toilet and go to bathroom to wash hands without touching the toilet door handle. Secondly there are no power points at bedside. They are located at the front of the room near the TV. So you can't really charge your phone near your bedside. Lastly, I could not work out how to turn the heating off. The controls on the wall don't seem to do anything."

"A place of Japanese pleasure in the heart of downtown Lens. The dishes are tasteful and of quality. Everything is homemade (sushi, udon, tempura... and it's super nice to find a really prepared dish rather than a pseudo dish all done as most do. At the price level they are correct pr the quality of the products. Nice and smiling staff. In short if vs want gustative change go there, it really is worth it. A little heartburn for sashimi."

"I visited for lunch as I was encouraged by previous reviews on this and French language websites. It was a Monday and choice was limited the position of this restaurant suggested a tourist standard but I need not have worried as the food was excellent. An asparagus starter and a melon with Parma ham were imaginatively served in good portions. The steak which followed with interesting garnish and delicious sauce was as good as could be hoped for. The place is smart and though a bit dark at the front, the rear is well lit looking onto a cheerful courtyard and also in sight and earshot of the open kitchen. Service was good if a bit gruff. Price of 35 euros for three courses was a bit high but not unreasonable for the quality."

"We can get out of this enchanted brewery because it was very good that the kitchen was uncertain. Too often missing dishes especially in the evening. An oyster card for amateurs with a happy hour between 6pm and 8pm, except that once on the water there are no more oysters at this hour... Disappointment for those who come for it. Otherwise. The service is nice and smiling."

"We arrived late and were desperate for some food without having to sit in a restaurant. We asked to take away from La Loco in bad French and they went out of their way to help us. One waitress realised we were English speaking and spoke in English while trying to help us understand when our food was ready and then bringing my food to where I was sitting. Burgers were quite nice actually surprising because it is so cheap. The chips weren't amazing but not our favourite food. The staff are all smiling and there is a fantastic atmosphere - the locals tried to interact with us and we felt welcomed."

"We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we were terribly disappointed. We started with a ptit cocktail to celebrate the event, serious mistake, the "sex on the beach" and the mojito were drowned in the water, without flavor and "the piña colada" had the taste of the smecta for the connoisseurs. In the entrance, I chose the gizzle salad with its fatty liver block, I still look for the block, it was a tiny bit of foie gras on a toast, I still have to admit that the dish "land and sea" association of gambas and chicken on a risotto was good but the gourmet dessert, a catastrophe. We were offered a cream burnt with lost bread and tatin pie and we found ourselves with pieces of box pineapples, a dry cake watered with rum and a hint of apple pie, the very extremely sweet, short immangeable. and again, I will only speak of the dishes I chose and tasted, because I was not the only one at the table to be disappointed. If you had to go to this restaurant, opt for safe values, such as carpaccio or beef pavement or choose another place. Small dedication to the server that was very friendly and that did everything to make this moment more enjoyable."
