"This resto occupies a charming site in a charming village and thus has a lock on the ambience but also a lock on the tourist traffic as a result. The service is good and so is the food. BUT the portions for too many dishes are stingy for the price. For example, I ordered their sausage and "truffade" (a tasty local mix of potato, creme and cheese). Cost: 12 euros. My travel companion ordered a hamburger with (local) blue cheese, quantity of which was microscopic. For my order, I received one little sausage alongside a moderate portion of truf and 3 lettuce leaves. Even in high-cost Belgium you would receive at least two sausages. That is an aberration for this region. Cantal is known for its low cost of living and its generous dishes, which don't vary much but are copious. For that reason, no more than a rating of three for this joint."
