"We were shown to the lower level of the restaurant and at first we thought that we were being put out of the way, but it transpired that we were being given a prime table next to a water fountain where Caravaggio used to sit and drink his expresso It was still a little early in the evening, so the restaurant hadn’t filled up sufficiently for the waiters to be gainfully occupied elsewhere. I must confess that it’s an irritation when waiters are constantly topping up your wine glasses when they can’t find anything better to do. Especially when they carelessly spill it on the table linen. As for the food, it was variable in its quality. The bruschetta bread was so tough that it was impossible to cut with the knife provided let alone chew. The bread provided for the table was also verging on stale; fine, since neither of us really wanted it anyway, but if it’s going to be provided it should be fresh. I had the pasta with porcini mushrooms and Italian sausage, which was okay, but unusually bland and therefore a little disappointing. Thankfully the grilled seafood secondi piati was superb. The tuna was the best I have had, whilst the octopus was tender and the grilled prawns were perfectly fine. We were going to order a vegetable side dish to accompany the beef cheek that my partner ordered, but were told that it wouldn’t be required. Of course the seafood was fine on its own, but the beef really did need to be balanced with some vegetables. It’s a lovely, historic setting for this restaurant, and it presents itself as a fine dining experience. For the most part it delivered, but it’s a shame that it was let down by a lack of attention to the detail and proper training for the staff."

"Non lasciandomi intimidire dal riferimento alla loggia di Propoaganda P2 (ma probabilmente il nome sarò riferito alle iniziali di proprietari) ho fatto un pranzo veloce in questo ristorante nel cuore di Napoli, di fronte al varco per andare agli aliscafi. Menù che rispetta la tradizione, clientela di frequentatori abituali, locale piccolo ma accogliente. Sono riuscito a rinunciare alla genovese che pure era sulla carta e agli appetitosi rigatoni che si gustavano altri avventori e ho scelto tra i piatti del giorno: un succulento piatto di paccheri con pomodorino, totani e aggiunta inaspettata e fonte di mie perplessità patate. L 'ho affrontato con debita circospezione ma l 'ho terminato incerto ma soddisfatto. Di scondo ho preso un piatto di verdura cotta (cavoletti, friarielli e melanzane a funghetto) e, con una mezza minerale ed un quartino di vino ho pagato 20 euro. Ci tornerò"

"This is the third year in a row I have reviewed this restaurant. If you are going to be in Naples you owe it to yourself to experience Nonnerie. Take the Metro to Rione Alto take a taxi to Via Giulio Palermo it doesn't matter how you get there just get there. The food is of the finest quality. The pasta is made next door in their shop it is perfect. The staff at Trattoria Le Nonnerie have become our friends. They remember us from year to year and welcome us like family. I hope to be able to make my annual pilgrimage to Naples and Nonnerie for many years to come. Am I biased yes. Please don't let that keep you away from Trattoria Le Nonnerie the place is the absolute best."

"FOR CELIACS AND GLUTEN FREE FELLAS I came to this place because I wanted to try something different from the usual pizza place or restaurant; it was a good choice. The area is part of the old town so a bit noisy and neglected but definitely easy to reach. The place inside is, on the other hand, nicely designed in modern urban style. A bit unusual for Napoli. Speaking about food: many gluten free options and fair prices. I've ordered: patate Al forno con salamini di cinghilae hamburger di chianina con parmigiana di melanzane tiramisù al caffè Belgian crafted red beer Hamburger and parmigiana were really good, the highlight of the meal! The tiramisù was more of an icecream tiramisù flavoured. What was a bit disappointing was the potatoes (a bit hard and too oily) and the cinghiale salami... looked like a cheap one you can find in any store. Beer was good. In the end: place is nice, price is fair (31 euro in total but it's written 37 because of a mistake) I would come back but just for the hamburger."

"Non ordinate assolutamente online! Ho ordinato con just eat un paio di volte la fiocco , e anche scrivere note come senza panna o cose simili non serve a nulla siccome viene messa ugualmente, ma fin qui, magari ci può anche stare. Prese ieri tre pizze, di cui un calzone salsiccia e friarielli (arrivato con solo ricotta, cotto e mozzarella, ma va bene anche questo), una Nocina e una Gioia per me. "Informal and very vriendly service, in a personal setting (with lots of vinyl covers). They supported us with good advice and let us share our meals, (serving one dish on two plates). "Locale fantastico e cibo eccezionale!! Sono venuto a conoscenza di questo locale grazie ai video che la proprietaria pubblica su TikTok e anche grazie al consiglio degli host della camera presa su Booking ho deciso di provarlo… Abbiamo ordinato le montanarine che erano FENOMENALI, per continuare con la frittatina di pasta con mortadella e pesto di pistacchi che ha mandato in tilt le mie papille gustative!! "The food at Da Vittorio is fresh and the service friendly and fast. If you are in or near Vomero, this trattoria should not be missed as they are just three blocks north of Stazione Medaglie D'Oro. You will not eat any better in Naples for such a low price. The only negative is that they are closed for dinner ... Mama Mia! You walk in, order wonderful, fresh, local food at extremely reasonable prices and either eat at one of their eight tables or take it home to enjoy. They have an abundance of Neapolitan favorites to choose from, including several primi (pastas, including gnocchi) and secondi (meat/fish dishes salsiccia e patate sausage and potatoes, polpette meatballs, cotoletta Milanese breaded cutlet, bistecca steak, and pesce spada swordfish, just to name a few as well as contorni (vegetables), dolci (sweets), caffe (coffee), and digestivi (limoncello, etc) ... all for just €11 per person. Four of us, we all ordered primi with three having the oven baked pasta in meat sauce with provola and one the pasta with zucchini in a cream sauce). The red sauce on the baked pasta was just a tad too salty, but otherwise delicious. The pasta cooked perfectly and just enough ground beef and cheese to pasta/sauce ratio, the dish was excellent. The pasta pana con zucchini was much lighter and delicious For our second dishes, one abstained and two had pan fried provola afumicata while I ordered the polpettoncino, a small meatloaf stuffed with prosciutto (ham) and mozzarella. The provola was superb with just enough cheese to not overwhelm the palate. The meatloaf was excellent although the salty red sauce detracted slightly from the overall experience. Coming to just €11 per person, including primo, secondo, water/wine, fruit, coffee, and limoncello, we ate to our hearts delight. The only negatives being the slightly salty red sauce on the pasta and meatloaf and the fact that they are only open for lunch. Otherwise, this is an excellent trattoria and an outstanding value! "Sono stato in questo locale un martedí sera e da quel momento è stato amore a primo gusto . Ad oggi c 'è sicuramente un valore affettivo nei confronti di tutto il personale, partendo dal proprietario Giuseppe, fino ai ragazzi di sala. Sin da quel martedì l 'accoglienza da parte del proprietario e del suo personale è stata sempre impeccabile e tutti, dal primo all 'ultimo, hanno sempre soddisfatto con il sorriso ogni mia esigenza. Prima cosa che mi sento di dire: questo ristorante/pizzeria ha un menù vastissimo e nessun alimento provato mi ha mai deluso, neanche in compagnia dei miei parenti e amici. Quel giorno ci furono piccoli errori che poi ho notato nel tempo non avvenire più...anche perché penso che tutti nella vita possiamo migliorare. Quel martedì su consiglio del proprietario decisi di provare un antipasto speciale, ovvero un crocchè con parmigiana bianca di zucchine al suo interno e credetemi è stato un qualcosa di veramente eccezionale. Vi aggiungo che ogni volta che sono lì non posso evitare di prenderlo. Tornando a quel giorno, successivamente al crocchè decisi di prendere altri due antipasti di terra...arancino con pistacchio e patatine chips (scelte azzeccate viste poi le porzioni). Gli antipasti sono molto buoni credetemi, stessa cosa per pasta e pizza. La cosa che più mi stupì fu la qualità della materia prima usata che ad oggi continua a rendermi felice. Molto buono anche il pane a tavola, fatto con lievito madre. Come primo scelsi una genovese eseguita veramente alla perfezione e come dolce mi lasciaì consigliare dallo chef con una torta di ottima fattura. "I actually don't know where to start! This place is amazing. It has such a classy and sophisticated atmosphere coupled with great views of Mount Vesuvius from the roof bar. The atmosphere morphs amazingly into romantic in the evening. Yet, it isn't pretentious, we arrived in jeans, jumper and walking boots after a long day of sight seeing. Despite this, the service was impeccable. Meeting the Duty Manager man (sorry I think his name was Francesco but I am hopeless with names) was like meeting an old friend. He was extremely welcoming, advised on the best local drinks for our tastes... He was not wrong either! He was also very accommodating when we asked about having dinner there and he got us a space. We also had Anna as our server. Anna was also very warm and friendly but also very patient with us trying our Italian and so kind to help us improve. Anna also had this amazing skill of clearing without being visible. We had dinner at 7pm, when the kitchen opens. There was a four course option for 75Euro. Francesco gave us advised on what dishes he would recommend. I cannot speak high enough of the Beef Tartare and the recommended dish of Pasta with Clams. I have never tasted food like. There are not enough adjectives! My husband had a small pizza type dish and a pasta and potato dish which he is still talking about. This place has everything service, atmosphere, a very high standards in everything. yes its a splurge if you eat, but it was worth every single penny. Francesco, Anna and the team made our wedding anniversary special and very memorable. Honestly 5 starts just do not do it justice."
