"I went to Franklyns today with a friend. I ordered the macaroni cheese and my friend had the chicken burger. As soon as I saw my dish, I knew it was going to be delicious. The macaroni cheese was perfectly cheesy and crispy on top. It was truly fantastic and the portion size was generous. My friend also enjoyed her burger and cleaned her plate. I will definitely be returning soon. Can't wait to go back!"

"Arrived early for our booking and staff were very helpful and accommodating by seating us straight away. We ordered a sharing starter which was the only issue we had as within minutes of ordering it was out on the table (however we watched a starter (same as we had ordered) returned to the kitchen from another table. So we tried ours which was freezing. We informed the staff who said it wasn’t supposed to be hot. My husband asked for a fresh one because it needs to be under heat to melt the cheese which ours was not even remotely hot, it was cold so he didn’t think it had been made fresh. The staff were brilliant though and replaced our meal. The rest of our food was delicious."

"Great pub grub, loved the homemade wraps, assume they were made in the pizza oven, so tasty! Was a bit disappointed in the service, however. I asked for a beef and horseradish wrap, a gammon wrap was brought to my table. I explained I had ordered the roast beef wrap, server looked confused and walked away. He returned qith the same wrap and a tub of horseradish sauce, saying the kitchen said that 's the order on the ticket. That may have been so, but it wasn 't what I ordered. He left the plate at my table and walked away. I ate the wrap because no one came near us for the next half hour. It was nice but definitely not what I ordered. I 've been a waitress for over ten years, I would have definitely taken the plate away and replaced it with what the customer said they had ordered, even if I was certain the customer was wrong. Was a bit annoying that the staff member had been bullied into bringing the wrong order back. Probably told by the chefs that I was wrong and that 's what I had ordered. Plenty experience of bullying chefs lol. Was handled really badly and I would suggest this is looked at so that other customers are not told they have ordered something which they definitely did not."

"Recently ordered a FULL lamb chasni which should come with both rice and naan, however only received rice. My bottle of coke was also out of date. Called up to rectify the issue and initially it sounded like they will send a naan to me, then got a call back 2 minutes later to say it doesn't come with a naan, a full is either rice or naan, I pointed out that is not what it says on the menu.. they blamed the host of the menu (Being Just Eat). I took him at his word, seemed weird, but arranged to have a free drink next order. Later I talked to a couple of people who use the take away regularly, they told me yes it should come with both, I checked a competitor to JE they use Scoffable says the exact same thing comes with both, and a physical menu I had also says the same thing. So they guy actually lied to me to save himself sending out a naan, even though he was going to send a driver back for a refund for the drink initially. Really Really sad, the food quality was actually good... it was soured by a lie to save a couple of pounds. Now word of mouth will spread with some people and they lost customers already from the 2 that spoke to me. Absolutely silly thing to do."

"Visited with family with voucher from xmas as part payment of a meal which mysteriously disappeared from our table at some point. Long story short police were involved. Ended up halving the £75 voucher which my 78 year old mum had bought on 23rd December...cash with no receipt given and no cctv in the place!! Taken over recently again and hadn't heard great reviews about it. Wondering if anyone else paid cash for voucher and no receipt given!! Mens toilets were also filthy and angry chef/manager (i believe) should learn some people skills and to learn customer is always right. Very unprofessional, shady set up and will never set foot in there again. Word of mouth is a very powerful tool to have. Had to give 1 star in order to post this review to let people know not to waste money in this place."

"My husband and I were going to a concert at the hydro last night so booked to eat here before hand. I have eaten here before so know the menu is limited but for ease we decided to book it. We arrived to an empty restaurant, we were shown to our table and sat down, our server came and introduced himself. We ordered our meals and then my husband ordered a cider and I ordered a ginger beer. The server seemed surprised at this and said «what no alcohol, just a ginger beer ». I said yes just a ginger beer please he then continued to push his point and said «we have some lovely wine or other drinks » I said I just want a ginger beer as I am driving. I was made feel extremely awkward for not drinking alcohol. I don’t drink because of medication I take but I shouldn’t have to explain this when ordering food. Our starters were brought and we had just started to eat them and a young man from the kitchen came to the table and said, I have been told to come and let you know that your mains are ready do you want them now. We said no we hadn’t finished our starters yet. My husband had no sooner finished his last mouthful and the original server appeared behind us saying is that you finished. We both said could you just give us a bit of space to enjoy our food. The food on the whole was average and not worth what we paid for it. Apparently the fish and chips are the best in Glasgow according to the server. I am seriously doubting that, it was ok but nothing special. The service was awful. We felt like they were watching every mouthful we put in our mouths, I was made feel like I was weird for not drinking alcohol and who brings the next course while you are still eating the previous one. I wish I had read the comments before booking. It looks like the SEC are really needing to do something about Clydebuilt or perhaps they don’t care as they know that as the only restaurant on the campus people will eat there regardless of how bad they are."

"This is the best Chinese restaurant around. I couldn't fault anything in my order and will definitely be coming back here from now on. I ordered the beef curry fried rice and salt and chilli chips, both of which were delicious. The beef was tender and not at all soggy like other Chinese restaurants in the area. The chips were also great. I give this place a 5-star rating in every category - food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person is between £10-20."

"My family and I went to this restaurant on Christmas Day for dinner, paying £50 per person. The roast turkey was overcooked, the vegetables were undercooked, and the portion sizes were disappointing. The pigs in blankets were too salty and there was not enough gravy to go around. The desserts were also disappointing, except for the vanilla ice cream sundae. We left the restaurant feeling hungry and dissatisfied after only 1 hour and 20 minutes. However, the staff were friendly and resolved a mix-up with our orders quickly. Overall, I would not recommend having Christmas dinner here, but I might consider returning for cheap cocktails in the future."

"Last time we dined here was about 10 years ago but we thought we'd give it a try and we were very glad we did. The staff couldnt have been any more welcoming, friendly and professional. Very attentive and courteous without being overbearing. Now down to brass tacks, the food was truly amazing! We chose from the Valentine offer menu which came with a complementary glass of prosecco however they very kindly offered to swap them to a lager and glass if white wine instead. My wife had chicken pakora which was delicious and my chicken chaat was juicy, flavoursome and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes for these starters was very generous and the dishes well presented. For our mains we had chicken korma which was rich and creamy and full of flavour and one of the best lamb bhoonas i've ever tasted. Both were bursting with meat and we struggled to finish them as we both had a portion of rice each and shared a perfectly done nann. We usually share one rice and nann but we thought what the hell, we had both saved ourselves for this lol. To finish we had gulab jamin with ice cream, lovely. And a coffee to finish. All that for £29.95 each is exceptional value. This offer runs right up to Valentines Day and i cant recommend it enough, you wont be disappointed. The waiter even presented my good lady with a red rose before we left. Excellent food, amazing service and at a phenomenal price, totally 5 stars! Thanks to all at Bombay Dreams!"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time in 50 years. It used to be a bookmakers, but has since been transformed into an eating establishment. In the past, I avoided it due to poor decor and unappetising food. However, after a recommendation from my daughters and a friend's mother, I decided to give it a try with my granddaughter. I was pleasantly surprised by the changes that had been made. The decor is now up to date, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of options including steaks, burgers, Mexican and Italian dishes, as well as a good children's menu. They also offer online ordering for takeaway. Don't let the name fool you - this is a wholesome, healthy eating place. I would encourage the people of Shotts to give it a try, you won't be disappointed."

"i really hate to do this but being a frequent restaurant diner i feel the need to write this review .. went in to restaurant nobody came to see us or speak to us at materdees area , 5 mins went by and someone came . sat us done took drinks order .. 10 mins we waited for them to come , thats fine . so we were told to look at menu on phone so we did picked our food and waited over 15 minutes to order while staff were standing in corner talking , had to ask someone to take order but they said they couldn’t as they had to get someone else to do it so waited another 5 minutes for that eventually the man came took order apologised for the wait . no explanation , so we ordered starters cane within 5 minutes . chicken gojouns we got a d they were really good , mains came 15 mins later which is totally fine , mains were absolutely delicious lasagna and steak pie . we decided we disnt want our desserts and they said we can take them away asked for bill girl said ok , 10 mins went past nothing , asked another waiter he said he was going to get it , another 10 minutes went past so my wife got up and asked they said its coming just processing it , so it came 5 mins after that . paid and obviously left no tip which i hate doing but i treat my dining experience on service first before the food i cam handle bad food if the service is good but if service is bad it ruins your experience regardless of how good the food is . i wont be giving this place another chance and i would never recommend to anyone . train your staff on customer service and politeness"

"We ordered over £40 worth of food for the family as a treat. The salt and chilli chips tasted sweet, as if they were laced with sugar instead of salt. The chicken curry we ordered was supposed to have breast meat, but it was tiny cubes that I doubt were even chicken, and it was also sweet. The beef chow mein was okay, but once again it had a sweet taste. We have never had Chinese food like this before, and it's definitely not a compliment. "Booked a 130pm table for 3 for lunch. Can 't complain about the food, which was really nice but the service was atrocious and completely ruined the meal for all 3 of us. Drinks order was wrong which can happen but we were offered a dessert menu by the waiter, but when we where approached to take our order, the female manager (I presume) was abrupt and told us we couldn 't have dessert or tea/coffee as they were now shut (it was 225pm) and then proceeded to ask us 'so what do you want to do? '. The three of us were left awkwardly sitting. We paid and left quickly. We will not be back."

"This lovely airy cafe spanning inside and out offers an excellent selection of homemade food that's becoming more and more popular as we start to eat healthier. I have recently become a fan of superfoods and all things chickpea which is great but it does...mean treating' myself when I go out. This is the lovely thing about The Project Cafe, the food is mostly salads and snacks and a good selection of desserts and cakes. I had the bulgar wheat salad with caramelized onions, a latte, a glass of mineral water and a piece of lemon drizzle cake. I had had a late appointment so decided that this would be the main meal of the day and I wasn't disappointed! The portions were excellent and very flavoursome. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and had no problem offering to take my food to my table for me as my mobility is challenged and I use a walking aid. The café is situated up a slope which has a considerable incline but if you take it slowly it's not so bad. I will definitely be tackling the slope to return here. I'm so glad to have found it!!"

"Ate here with a member of my family. Granted there aren 't many places you can get 2 courses for 5.95. Food was ok, you pay for what you get. Didn 't really appreciate the eldest of the waitresses talking about her life story to another customer, also don 't really appreciate foul language either, while trying to enjoy a chat and have some lunch either! The 'F ' word was used about 2 or 3 times in every sentence, not to mention her talking loudly about a 'druggie ' customer! Poor show for a restaurant that a lot of people I know speak highly of! The furniture in the restaurant is falling apart. 1 of the chair legs came off and the gentleman eating near us complained that his table and chair were wobbling about- the cleanliness of the place is pretty shocking. The salt and pepper dishes on the table were absolutely filthy and the dish they sit in were even worse. Tables near us had been cleared but not sanitised or wiped down- frames on the wall dusty and smeared- absolutely disgusting! The foul mouthed waitress then proceeded to stand at the open front door and smoked a cigarette, letting the smoke into the restaurant, safe to say I ate less than half my main course due to this. I must say the young girl with the long curled hair was lovely and gave great service throughout. It is cheap, food was average but I can honestly say I 'll never be back due to the poor service from one of the waitresses and the poor cleaning!"

"This morning, I came across some great reviews for the MLOne restaurant in Motherwell while looking at past reviews for Indian Villa. As a resident of Motherwell, I had never heard of this place before. After some research, I discovered it is located within New College in my hometown. I promptly made a lunch reservation for two and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The restaurant, as previous reviewers have mentioned, is located within the college and offers a full dining experience. The service from the students was excellent and the dishes prepared by the student chefs were delicious. My wife and I enjoyed a three-course meal with non-alcoholic beverages for a total of £14.50, which was unbelievable! They also host themed nights. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning soon. Just a friendly reminder, the students are still learning, so allow them some room for growth and you will be pleasantly surprised."

"We visited today for the first time and were delighted with the service and food. Exactly what we were looking for to feed three children after the swimming. They all had a hotdog meal the portion size and quality were great and it was all eaten a 5/5 from each of them. We also ordered an M&M and Nutella milkshake for them to try and it was delicious even our fussiest loved it. "Had dinner in Culdesac on Friday night. My friend and I both had strawberry daiquiri's and i can honestly say was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. We both had two courses,there was a few specials on, I had one of...the specials which was the peppered steak pie (Il get back to that one). To start my friend had the chicken tempura and I had the chilli meatballs both of us really enjoyed our starters and you can tell the food is cooked fresh here,they were delicious. For the mains my friend had chicken fajitas and I had the special which was peppered steak pie,this was amazing I have never tasted anything like this,it was so good, I have never heard of this before but would highly recommend this to anyone. When we got the bill the waitress had given us the 2 course deal which she didn't have to do as the special wasn't part of it. Our bill came to just under £35 and I would've payed more as we really enjoyed our meals,the atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely(so friendly and very welcoming).if your looking for amazing fresh food with a twist and reasonably priced I would definitely recommend this place."
