"We’ve just had the most delicious Sunday Lunch. I had tomato and roast pepper soup to start, it had a real depth of flavour and was served piping hot. My husband has the grilled halloumi which he enjoyed too. Our main course was a combo of beef and pork, served with all the trimmings, couldn’t fault it at all, was pleasantly surprised at the portion size too, it’s amazing value for money, 3 courses £15pp.For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding and custard, this was served in a real cute little pan, again fab value portion, piping hot custard, the sponge was light and very tasty indeed.10/10 for a fabulous meal.The dining area is light and airy, the toilets are clean with fresh flowers, and the staff are attentive and friendly, we’ll definitely be going back"

"Heard about this place via word of mouth from a friend (always the best way! So Me Mrs rang for availability and where glad that we did! (Busys the word and a great sign it is! We pre-ordered afternoon tea for two and what a lovely feast of fancies it was! Got a lovely welcome from the host and co owner who seated us at a nice big table. In interior is both clean modern whilst re-creating that forever piece of England, the country tea shop! The 3 tier cake stand full of lovelies large pot of tea arrived within minutes, a feast for both body mind it certainly was! Sandwiches on the bottom, cakes fancies on the mid section all crowned with the traditional cream tea. Welcome suprise was two mini cups of spiced parsnip soup with tiny croutons, (bliss . All the food was quoffed with great delight although the Mrs was that full, she couldn't manage the cream tea! (Shame was that! So I had to take one for team and eat that as well, just in the interests of not upsetting anyone you understand! Price was reasonable and they get it so right! This place seems to be a hub for both villagers and cycling clubs alike I can understand why it seems to be the center of some peoples social activities! We shame be returning again again! The owners should be proud and I'm sure they are! (Shows in their work! Foody theme nights are held monthly as well. All good, now give em a try!"

"I had a hospital appointment at Scunthorpe around 1.20pm so we decided that rather than messing around we would have lunch out, not something we normally do on a Sunday. We decided that the closest location was the Royal so we decided to go there. We were there fie noon only to find the doors still locked, and just as we were ready to leave, the manager Zane came out, apologised profusely explained there had been a leak from one of the bathrooms that it had caused part of the ceiling to come down. He had clearly been busy cordoning off that area of the dining space and cleaning up. We were quickly seated in another area and ordered our food drinks, which considering this was a Sunday lunchtime costing under £25 for 2 meals 2 drinks was a great price. Our meals were served within 15 minutes were well cooked, hot very tasty, the lady cooking (I believe was called Jo) had cooked everything perfectly. The manager was very attentive throughout our visit, making us feel very welcome, like long lost friends rather than customers. We will definitely be back."

"Visited with friends for afternoon tea. We were told we would be in the dining room but were in the bar area. We moved tables so we could do social distancing but had to ask for one table to be cleaned as had remnants left of a previous person 's visit obviously not cleaned after each person 's visit. Having seen the pictures on the web site and read what we thought we were going to have we thought we must be in the wrong place! Only two of the sandwiches were advertised also the scones but not the rest .Due to dietary preferences two people asked for cheese and when these arrived they were just a slice of cheese in white bread looked very unappetizing.. With our spar discount and eat out to help out discount the price was reasonable but felt they were doing it on the cheap. Certainly not worth £21 which was full price. We did not complain as did not want to spoil our first outing since March but very disappointing."

"I had an evaluation for this place, me and hubby called for a fast sand that is on Tuesday afternoon. the girl in front of us had ham salad, and what was really impressed me was the type that served us then. has gloves to change, like a little thing to eat, but for me I was very impressed! I was in expensive restaurants where they were not so superior to vegetarian. also the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. space kept beautiful and clean. overall very good!"

"I have frequented Cafe 43 on a number of occasions over the past 3 years usually for coffee and cakes, and have always found the surroundings to be clean, pleasent and staff friendly. This morning I visited for a family breakfast, where we all ordered their full English fried breakfast, which I was pleasantly surprised to find wasn't greasy and the portion sizes standard. The only down side worth noting was that you aren't offered a choice of how you would prefer your eggs, unfortunately its scrambled or scrambled with no option of a fried egg in sight. You do however get a choice of toast which is either white or brown bread. I found the bacon to be very tasty, but it did come with the rind on which wasn't a problem for me, but it might be for some people. The accompanying mushrooms and tomatoe were very nice. It's worth noting that if you are intending visiting, then be warned that they only accept cash, so it could be slightly embarrassing if you order and don't carry cash like me! Not sure why they don't accept card payments, since the majority of businesses today accept electronic card and contact less payments."
