"Restaurant located at the foot of Puebla de Sanabria and next to the river. We went for dinner on the recommendation of some friends. And everything was a hit. Their specialty is hamburgers and they are really good. For the price you pay for a menu in a fast food restaurant, here you can eat a real meat hamburger and well attended! Although it has a peculiar flavor, its craft beer is worth trying. We will be back for sure!! "The restaurant sits at the top if the hill next to the castle and offers a marvellous view. The food is local and very specific to not only Spain but is particularly focused on local products from Sanabria itself. The restaurant as a geat daily menu which is very cheap €14) The 2 local dishes that particularly impressed ,and surprised, us were the local broadbean starter Habones) and the oxtail rabo). The second is not normally a dish I look for but here it is simply marvellous....try it, just trust me. The mains were great too the Secreto was excellent . They also offer a kids meal which filled up our six year old and that is worth a star in itself."

"It is the first parador that has disappointed us. Every year for our anniversary we have the tradition of going to a National Parador and we have always returned delighted. Except in this hostel. The treatment has not been bad, but it has been curt, nor has the kindness received as a general rule in the inns. As a detail they usually do something nonsense to us, on this occasion not only did they give us a bad room but the detail was non-existent, not even a mention or congratulation. We will not return. Noteworthy details: The details count. Their non-existence too. It does not meet what is expected of a National Parador."

"We went there to eat because of the reviews we read on Google and on blogs. The truth was that it was a success. The place is cozy and pretty. The food was very good. We ordered the cecina de León that came with very good oil and a T-bone steak to share. The waiter who served us was called Fernando and I wanted to make a special mention, he was super attentive, friendly and pleasant. After eating we asked him for advice on buying a local wine and we were able to buy it right there. In short, 100% recommended, you will not be disappointed to eat there. "We happened to pass by after dinner and it was so inviting that we entered to have a drink and ended having a dessert. We returned the following day to try more dishes. We loved the local dishes such as the Sopa de Sanabria and the Habones (giant white beans) both fantastic traditional cuisine. The homemade desserts from family recipes are great too! Try the Puff Pastry with cream and the baked custard with raspberries, simply delicious. There is a great variety of beers both local and Belgian. A sure bet in all ways."

"When we arrived we asked if they had aliste-sanabresa veal meat and told us yes, that two of so many dishes were of veal meat of the denomination of origin, so we asked for a second calves. I can't say that it wasn't from the denomination of origin, but because of the quality of the meat it seems very rare that it was, as we know it well and in other paradors, as the one of zamora serve it and it's simply spectacular, something that doesn't happen in this parador. first we asked for a deer rice, which we have to say was very rich. We were somewhat disappointed in the subject of meat."

"Paramos de camino en Puebla de Sanabria ocho amigos un domingo y este local fue uno de los pocos que encontramos abiertos. Disponen de un bonito y agradable comedor al fondo, totalmente reformado, así como barra y terraza. Pedimos todos menos uno un primer plato (caldo, ensaladilla) y todos un segundo (albóndigas, bacalao, morro en salsa, guiso de ternera). Además tres postres, cafés, refrescos y agua. Pagamos sobre 21.5 euros por persona: la comida estaba buena y era abundante, nos sirvieron rápido y muy amablemente, pero quizás nos esperábamos algo menos."

"A very quiet place to eat on the interior terrace, with the noise of the nearby river and everything full of vegetation. The treatment of the staff was very good and they have a fairly varied menu, although by the hours you could tell that they were quite tired. The food in general I liked a lot, perhaps the trout was quite bland, and I'm not a big fan of it coming without cleaning the bone, head, etc. but they are personal preferences. I would highlight the piquillo peppers stuffed with cod from the menu of the day. Of the desserts, the lemon mousse cake stood out, but it was a little hot and made the pleasant flavor lose something. Otherwise, highly recommended and well priced."
