"This restaurant is situated in a small village. We’d read good reviews and we were staying nearby so we thought we’d pop in for some dinner. We arrived at 7.30pm to be told they were fully booked. We decided to book for another night. The next available evening was Tuesday. To be fair, we visited in spring so the outside area wasn’t open yet and inside there aren’t many tables. When we spoke today a local he told us he was surprised they managed to keep in business as they were hardly open, yet when they are they are fully booked. There was a limited menu, but this is to be expected from a small venue. What we had was delicious. We weren’t too sure what to expect as our French is limited and the waiter had very little English. Google wasn’t much help either! Anyway, we took a punt and had some really yummy food. Hubby had an asparagus starter and I had a chickpea doughnut thing that was scrummy! Hubby then had pork and I had a house burger (remember in France they serve their burgers medium . We then had a pavlova and a panne cotta for dessert. Everything was very tasty and the bill was a pleasant surprise. Service was helpful (as much as they could be! and we weren’t rushed at all. Highly recommends his place......if you can get a table!"
